4weeks?? Mines been 5 weeks and still today NVC said they havent received my case from USCIS

If NVC didn't receive your case from USCIS in 5 weeks, sth went wrong. It should not take more than 2 weeks for that.

The more likely scenario would be they received your case but didn't assign a case number yet.

You should call call both NVC and USCIS. If NVC really didn't receive your case, ask USCIS to resend to NVC.

My case was approved on 11/5 and then we received the paper notice on 11/9 and then yesterday, 11/15, I was notified via text and the app that the case has been sent from USCIS to NVC/DOS for visa processing. It took 10 days from approval to be sent out by USCIS....4 weeks and 8 weeks definitely seems long.

I called NVC the other day and the lady was so sweet to give me tips and tricks to move things along faster. She advised that I call once a week to ask for a case number and to give them our contact information. She said that it can take up to 6 weeks, but most of the time it's faster. She did provide a tip for when I DO have a case number. She said to get a number and fill out the Choice of Agent and then submit it. Once that is confirmed to print out the cover sheet confirming submission and to call NVC to have them process it right then and there. She said most people don't do that and so they have to wait for it to be processed...which can take 3 weeks.

If I were I would call NVC every day until they give you a number. I plan on calling this afternoon, since I was just notified that the case was sent yesterday. I also suggest sending emails to inquire about it. NVC tends to prefer email to calls. Here is the email I used:

for me they received my case from USCIS but they have not assigned case number. I am not sure how long more its gonna take.   It takes approximately 30-60 days for an immigrant visa application to be transferred from USCIS to the National Visa Center. The National Visa Center recommends that an applicant wait at least 60 days from the date of the immigrant petition approval before calling to confirm the receipt of an application. so its taking more than 2 months for sure after approval

what in the world they do with the transferring that can take up to 60 days..... its all electroniccc!!! omggggggg.. this is not the medieval times!! I am starting to think its all on purpose.
