Visit one of the countries below. Here is a list of the 10. Some nice places. Not all are the hell holes you imagine them to be.

  • China
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Netherlands
  • Canada
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Ireland
  • New Zealand
  • Belgium

Almost none of these have a socialist economy as defined by the DSA.  Seems an irrelevant comparison.

The link says they are the most socialist countries. Another deflection by you?

Seems you deflected first as there is a difference between what I was talking about (espoused by the DSA) and Social Democracies which is what these countries are essentially.

  That doesn't excuse your deflection.

So you admit to the deflection?  Seems that does excuse my response.

So you are deflecting deflections now? I guess if you have nothing better to do. Where does it end?

That is up to you.  Doesn't negate the statement I made earlier.  Any response to that besides your initial deflection?

I already responded by deflecting your deflection of my initial deflection. Are you conceding or was that another deflection?

Thanks for playing and contributing nothing.  Kind of makes my point regarding Democratic Socialism.

Well that's it, isn't it? You didn't really have a point regarding Democratic socialism. Par for the course. When your arguments center on imaginary socialist boogeymen everywhere, I'm not sure why there would be an expectation that it could lead to a rational discussion.

Google is your friend, check out the DSA website and see what they say about how corporations will be managed under them and tell me how this will be executed.  It is what I asked in my earlier post and all I got in response was a deflection about a bunch of social democracies.  It was interesting that you left Venezuela and the DPRK off your list.

But.........but..but... isn't that the kind of socialism politicians like Bernie want for America?

The socialism in the countries Steeleballz posted, instead of the socialism/communism of the USSR.

Because that's what this is all about right?

i have tried countless times to point out the vast difference in democratic socialism and socialism/communism - mainly when bernie was still in the game. but it falls on deaf ears here..the word socialism is a trigger for some.

Indoctrination has done it's work, that's one thing for sure. Which is somehow ironic.

Google is your friend as well.  Democratic Socialism and social democracies are not the same thing.  Bernie supports Democratic Socialism which does advocate some form of government control of all capital  (just not centralized control supposedly), social democracies still advocate for capitalism since they know this is the only way they can pay for their social programs.  You mentioned earlier that the Netherlands went through a cycle of the government taking control of many businesses and capital, and now they are back to capitalism for the most part with their social programs.  Seems pretty clear to me.

You never offered a sandwich.  So what is the difference between Democratic Socialism and Social Democracies?  Hint, they are different.
