I don't think AWA only applies to fiance visas, maybe you mean IMBRA?

Yep - that's what I meant. Too early, not enough caffeine yet.

But murderers can, and do, petition for spouses. I read an article written by a foreign wife of a man on death row. She clearly was "using" him to get a green card, knowing that she will never have to live with him or even touch him. She could absolutely detest him (and she probably does, it can't be easy to love someone who has killed people). She gets the green card and the life in America she dreamt of. He probably gets a few extra dollars on his books each month for honey buns and stamps.

But we we are going off topic here.

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

I do plan to live with my fiancé as I did before. Just working out the logistics for my work. The only reason we didn't marry the last time I lived there is we were not in a rush to trap each other and wanted to take our time to establish a long term relationship. Plus, like I pointed out, I have some finacial issues with my ex. We really took our time and never started to file the K1 until we had been together for almost 2 years. In hind sight we should have just married in PHL then a CR1 should have been filed.

Now that this has taken us on this journey, we can just take our time, continue to our relationship, then file on our own terms.
