Could someone clarify what would be different about these two?  I explain that I was working and living abroad, I have passport stamps to show this. and for proof of relationship I have photos that date back to that time, text, trip receipts. Should I be separating these two?  or adding anything to the proof of meeting in person? Thanks in advance!

There are things here.

- proof of having met in person within the last two years prior to filing. This is a requirement for the I-129F petition and without it the petition cannot be approved. You must send something that is dated (not just a date stamp on a photo - these can be manipulated) like a boarding pass, passport stamp, credit card statement, hotel bill, etc that puts the two of you in the same place as the same time. Photos are secondary evidence but you can include photos of that meeting. Just ding rely on photos alone to meet this requirement.

- evidence of an ongoing relationship is not needed for the I-129F but is a matter for the embassy decide if the relationship is genuine and ongoing. Without a timeline I have no clue as to which embassy you are going through. Some are tougher than others. The evidence of this that you send with the I-129F will be sent to the embassy in time for the interview. You may also bring additional evidence to the embassy for the interview but but there is no guarantee you will get the opportunity to present this to the officer. Focus on quality rather than quantity. No need to send 5,000 Facebook messages, for example.

It proves you were in the country at least.

Adding some pictures of you two together, and/or shared hotel/lodging receipts or records, receipts of things you did together, etc., may add on to the passport stamps nicely.

Passport stamps are great for proving you actually went there, while pictures show that you were together at some point; together they can back up the narrative of 'I went to see fiance at these times, and we did this together'.

(And to echo above, no need to send 5000 chat messages/pictures)
