I have no clue... Me myself was going crazy till today but inquiries doesn't seem to do anything with these people.

But yes they are approving rfe received cases mostly.. which is extremely frustrating although understandable.

Did they tell you anything about where your case is? pending security checks or assigned to an officer.

They didn't say anything, after we opened the inquiry when I login the website it shows 3 messages, the third saying that on 23rd our case was assigned to an adjudicator. I have been very patient until now but Im getting frustrated at this point. My fiancee said he will call them again today. He wasnt getting to the tier 2, I told him to have a different approach this time because we are now in 225 days with no answer, just the tier 1 saying last time that now we have an inquiry and that we should wait.

The last tier 2 I talked to said the inquiries, after they were assigned to an adjucator, are taken out of the queue and reviewed, then given back to the adjucator, I've gotten a few answers like that. so not sure if you actually lose your place in line.  As @Naes said, submitting an inquiry doesn't seem to do anything about speeding up the process, they end up just giving you a cookie cutter answer, like "it's being processed" or "wait 30-90 days more" .  There isn't much oversight or accountability to this process, the USCIS makes their own deadlines and the "normal processing times" are a moving target.  You can contact the Ombudsman, but they tend to only look at cases over 60days past the normal processing times.  but they seem to be the only agency that holds the USCIS accountable, although im not sure there is any power there, seemingly they make reports and suggestions to congress about how the entire immigration system is moving and what can be improved next year.

Make sure your numbers are correct
I've heard a few people in prior forums that got an incorrect number when they called NVC

Hi smart, supportive, and warrior visa journey friends.  My partner and I are tying to pay our Visa Fees and schedule an interview for our K1 visa through the Nairobi US embassy.  We are able to get as far as paying fees on their online system and are told there are no open interview appointments at this time.  We understand we have to wait until Nairobi opens up more appointments, but does anyone know if we are able to pay our Visa Fees prior to the embassy having open appointment times??? and if so how do we get a printed MRV form to pay our visa fees??  Thanks for any thoughts or advice on the matter, I have read through the past posts and am still feeling confused as nothing is from 2018!!!

If its all done electronically its rather easy, if the NVC site says "ready" then you can proceed with the DS-160 , once the DS-160 is uploaded you can then proceed to schedule your interview. this happened to us, only one date available. If online shows no dates then you need to submit the DS-160 and then it should show at least one interview date. In TAIWAN , they can pay for the visa fee through post office, bank transfer, or atm. You get the MRV when you log in and then submit the receipt number. I believe the site you do all this with is ustraveldocs.com , check with your lawyer if you used one.
