My fiance was divorced in China. The white book we are provided does not get any judges signature and immigration should know this. But because there are apparently a lot of new officers, they dont know all the info yet. So I typed up a letter stating this and had my chinese fiance sign a sworn statement that she is legally single and we included a signed Discoverture Statement that she had.

Still waiting on word after they received the rfe on March 19th.

How many day do you get final divorce decree signed by judge or magistrate from county court house? My fiance nearly should go there to get copy it or original ? Thank @ImagineMe@DennisWaldron

I don’t know if this will be the best place to ask this question but since all here are going through the same thing: how do you all feel in knowing that you’re moving and leaving family behind? (If that’s the case), I’m excited, and definitely ready for my forever with my fiancé, but I am also incredibly nervous to leave my family behind. I know it’s not forever but it does scare the daylights out of me.

I was okay until Christmas just gone, where I couldn’t help but cry on my mums shoulder. It’s going to be hard and you will get home sick but so long as your fiancé is there for you and supporting you, and you are dealing with your emotions in a healthy manner, you’ll be okay. My mum has already booked a flight to visit me in January 2019. Heck, I haven’t even been approved yet. Knowing my luck, she will be out there before me.

Mine didn't get signed because China doesn't do it.  What country is the divorce decree coming from?

He lives in USA

Ok then that would be a question for someone else as I have never been married nor divorced. But I believe Dennis will probably be able to say. Im sure he will say something soon.

If he was divorced here in USA,

The decree was already signed by a Judge.

He simply needs to go to county courthouse and get a copy of it.

Just walk in courthouse and 10 minutes done.

It easy to get or get appointments first? Should he need someone help (lawyer)?

Yes its easy... no appointments

Just walk in...10 minutes done.

Its only a copy of a decree he already has.

Just have him call the courthouse and ask.
