I think we're supposed to wait until Packet 3 has been sent to the embassy and they give you Packet 4 which is the instructions for Medical/Interview. I tried emailing in Packet 3 even though we hadn't technically received word from embassy yet to do so and they emailed me back and basically told me I had jumped the gun and needed to wait for their email. 

 

Super frustrating because other people have sent in Packet 3 without hearing from the embassy and had no issues. 

Our status changed from "In Transit" to "Ready" on March 20th so it's been a week, which isn't that long in the grande scheme but feels like forever when you see people from other countries who are abel to book interviews as soon as their status changes to "Ready". 

 

I'm lucky that I live in between Toronto and Montreal so I can just drive to medical/interview. I can't imagine how frustrated I would be if I had to book a flight on top of everything else!

Good to know we have at least another week of torture to endure I hope things move forward for you guys! 

 

And thanks for the info! We've been looking at that and we also called the embassy and they told us to go to some website to schedule the interview but that's not working and I'm not even sure that's necessarily the right process anymore.. sigh. Even the embassy can't help much.

I think that's around when ours changed to Ready, and I haven't heard anything either. I'm hoping soon. I have everything ready to go but the police check, and there's a place here in Edmonton that I can do it same day so not too panicked.

Good morning! I have a question. We opened the inquiry last friday and we didnt receive any response until now (217 days waiting). So is it reasonable if we call again this friday or we should call them again only after 30 days?

It is not a denial you are waiting for,you are just waiting for your approval!

We had sooo many waiting right? Remember those people, and you will see they all got approvals in the end..
