We don't really know what the deal with the new website is but I'll go on ahead say from the little I've heard, it sounds like you're approved.
Congratulations!!!!

But Really- the easiest thing to do here is 1) wait and see if you get a paper approval in the mail. Those usually take about a week. or 2) Call USCIS and see if you can get a Tier II to confirm your approval.

Thank you

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help with some clarification of something I recently read. I was on the embassy website looking at the instructions and forms to fill out once our petition reaches the embassy. It states that my fiance has to "obtain police certificates from all places he has lived since the age of 16". My questions are the following:

1) Does this just involve going to the police station and asking for proof that he has not been involved with any crime?

2) Has anyone completed this step or is anyone familiar with the process.

My fiance lives in Mexico. Any help or clarification on this step would be great!

Many many thanks :)

Usually, each embassy details what/where you can get the police report. That's going to be found in the Packet 3/4 they send over once your case reaches the embassy.
For mexico, am not sure if you go to a police station, or if there's a national agency responsible for giving those reports.

I will suggest you ask in the previous month's forums (June/July) to fellow Mexicans that have finished their process and figure out where they got theirs.
Good luck!

I told you everything in private message.

You need to bring I-134 to the interview, fiancee will send it to you, to your home address, SIGNED, so you can have it with you, to bring it to the interview. You have to call the NVC for the case number and you can fill out DS-160 after you get the case number.

DS-160 online does NOT come with the fee.You will be instructed what fees to pay once you RECEIVE the package 3 from embassy in Belgrade.DS-160 should be done BEFORE the interview so it is up to you when to do it.

Hello Canadian friends (and others I may have missed in this)! Anyone doing the medical appointment yet? We just scheduled ours for April 25th, but I just feel like there's something we're missing..

CEAC says READY but we haven't heard from Montreal yet. I think we're supposed to wait until Packet 3 has been sent to the embassy and they give you Packet 4 which is the instructions for Medical/Interview. I tried emailing in Packet 3 even though we hadn't technically received word from embassy yet to do so and they emailed me back and basically told me I had jumped the gun and needed to wait for their email.

Super frustrating because other people have sent in Packet 3 without hearing from the embassy and had no issues.

Please people, is k1 visa an immigrant or non immigrant visa?

Normally non-immigrant. Sometimes also immigrant.

Kind of depends on what you’re asking for...

I feel like this part of the process is it's own special kind of frustrating. I'm hearing a million different things about a number of different documents we need/appointments we need. We jumped ahead on medical because otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford flights.. which were already expensive. Here's hoping those packets get to us before late April! I had to hedge my bets on which poison to drink and this was the one I thought would work out best ha

We just got to "Ready" today, how long have you been waiting?

It actually counts as both I was told by NVC! Push 7 when you call NVC but when you get your case number you put it in as an immigrant visa.  Hope this helps
