Keep in mind that all 2,600 petitioners are not here on Visa Journey, so there unfortunately is really no way of knowing how many silent approvals there were.   Lets hope there were alot!    Optimism in favor of pessimism is my montra.  :D   And keep in mind that the USCIS now has the additional overhead of processing the replies to all of the RFE's they keep sending out.

Yeah thanks :)

At this point i would take one of those RFE's.... i think its the just not knowing thats hardest part.

And honestly though im super happy for anyone that gets approved. A bit of jealousy comes out when there are rfe's or approvals from petitions a month after ours.

But also i know there is no ryme or reason to how they work.

Just sitting back waiting patiently:)

So we got approval notice online on March 13.  It said on March 13 we approved your petition but today I got the approval letter in the mail and it says notice date March 9.  Just a little confused.  Is March 9 the real date it was approved and says March 13 online because that’s the date they updated it online?

I just took a look at your timeline.  I can easily understand it does not help the psychology when your VJ timeline says you are overdue.  My observation has been that the USCIS operates with a 60 day sliding window of approvals.   It appears that a majority of petitions for a given date are completed within 30 days, with nearly all complete in 60 days.

So, I have mentally prepared myself that my NOA2 will come within 60 days of the first evidence of the USCIS processing my NOA1 date.   If it comes earlier, I will certainly be happy, and if it is after, I will certainly be stressed.

Haha... i said/thought about the same thing :)

Mentally prepared... then the heart starts helping with the thinking.

Just a bit anxious i guess.

Either way...at the end of each day we just pray it's tomorrow.

Exactly.  I filed 12/26, so check back with me in July and see how I am doing.  LOL!   Now that I think about it, I am sure it is easier said than done.  :D   Best luck to you.

Use the notice date on the letter. That's actually when your application was approved.

Notices come out a few days after the approval in most cases. This happens also in noa1s. For example system updates as received on sept 15. Get notice on sept 18. Real noa1 date sept 19..

I would say march 9 is the real date. As you can see it written on your hard copy :)

Thank you.  That’s what I was thinking but just wanted to make sure.  Not that it really matters anyway, it’s just a few days difference.  I really just care that we got it, thank god.

@NICK & PAULA hi! I see you guys are doing the process in the UAE...as is my fiance :) Where are you guys with the process? ( I tried to read to read through the thread but its over 300 pages long lol)  We were approved two weeks ago but have not heard anything since then.  We're waiting to find out which specific documents the Dubai Consulate would need so my fiance can get cracking and gather them.  Would love to hear from you! xx -J

Anyone else going through Dubai??

Hello there! Wow, another one from Dubai. I met @dynesyzygy24 here and she's based in UAE, too. PM me your email and I will forward a copy of packet 3 that they'll most likely to send to the beneficiary. BTW, have you tried contacting NVC yet for your case number?
