Guys who got approved, did you submit your DS-160 ? Our case is at NVC and I have already submitted the form, I hope I did not do it too early.Interview won't be ready before May, I am 99% sure. There were 2 statements, on last page, that wouldn't let me submit the form unless I check only one box for both of them together.Statements were that I declare that I will marry within 90 days when I arrive in USA and the one that worries is me  is about IMBRA pamphlet, that says that I declare I received it.I did not receive it but submitted the form anyway, disregarding IMBRA, as we did not do it that way, as unimportant, thinking it just needs to be read for the sake of information about legal protection in abusive relationships, so I just read it off the website.I emailed the confirmation page and keeping it safe and ready to be printed when the time comes for the interview.

Will submitting DS-160 this early and saying I received IMBRA, which I did not, jeopardize the form ?

So from what I have gathered- how early one submits DS-160 seems to be dependent on embassy.
I personally submitted when it showed that my embassy has received the documents  to be on the safe side but I don't think being a few days off from embassy receiving it matters.
Because you take the DS-160 confirmation page to the interview anyway. I think the point is to make sure u Submit it PRIOR to your interview.

For the IMBRA, that's the embassy ensuring that they have provided the document. Because we do have to protect immigrants coming in to let them know their rights, etc. As long as you read it, you should be fine.

Someone please correct me if am wrong.

I have just read that DS-160 needs to be submitted before interview.I already did it, roughly 2 and a half months before I expect to have an interview ( according to the estimations ).I took it too far, or,  in this case, too early, haha, but I just wanted to check would  that be a problem.

For the IMBRA thing, my fiancee got scared that I said that we did it trough marriage agency, which we did not, but I explained that the question was only about the pamphlet and not the whole process, since she stated in I-129f that we did not meet trough any marriage organizations.

I was just worried I falsely admitted something important but it looks like imbra thing is only for the information sake's purposes.

Right. So that's what am saying. Each embassy is different on whether: 1) they want u to submit it AFTER they have received ur case from NVC or  2) after you have your NOA2. The point is to have it done before the interview. Am sure they know that some embassies are busier than others so it could be MONTHS after u submit before ur interview is had.

And for IMBRA, yes. that's about pamphlet, not about where you met. Where you met was for the USCIS application.

My fiance (petitioner) called on March 05 and a service request was placed. The app updated a couple of days later to show that the request was assigned to an officer on March 07. I was willing to give them two weeks to respond.

I checked the app yesterday, March 14, around 12:00 pm and there weren't any updates. I checked an hour later and there were two new updates:
1) "On March 14, 2018, we sent a response to your general inquiry. referral number ######;" and

2) "On March 14, 2018, your general inquiry, referral number ######, was completed."

Fiance called again, but they told him there wasn't anything new that they could provide him with. He's going to try calling again later. I wish I could just call to find out, but they've already informed me that as a beneficiary I cannot get any info without him also on the line. Hoping that it is good news as I am anxious and stressed AF.

Today is Day 211 for us.

Fiance called again this morning. Says that they told him to "wait for the mail." I followed up by asking if they confirmed if any mail was sent and he said they told him to wait 30 days. So even though the app is showing that the service request was completed on March 14, no one wants to give us any information. I wish they would let me (the beneficiary) call and demand an answer!

I believe it needs to say "Ready" for you to be able to schedule your interview, though it may depend on the embassy.

It needs to say "Ready"
U will see "At NVC," "In transit" (you might miss this one because it's usually for a day) and "Ready"

But you cannot schedule interviews until file is ready at the embassy.
Even then, some embassies schedule the interview for you. So check with other filers from ur country in other forums for more specifics

Im shocked at how slow this week was...what is there about 2,600 August petitions left? And they could only find 50 to approve all week...give or take a few silent ones :(

Keep in mind that all 2,600 petitioners are not here on Visa Journey, so there unfortunately is really no way of knowing how many silent approvals there were.   Lets hope there were alot!    Optimism in favor of pessimism is my montra.  :D   And keep in mind that the USCIS now has the additional overhead of processing the replies to all of the RFE's they keep sending out.
