I have a NOA2 from 03/01/2018. I really have no patience or time to wait on the phone. Unfortunately I work long hours and during the week, so instead of waiting I went to the department of state website and sent them an inquiry at NVC. Is it better to call to see if they got your file? Or just wait for them to send you a letter or answer by email? I know it has been only 10 days

Thanks for any replies.

I literally just called. The lady was like a robot and monotone. Another girl I talked to said when she calls they are nice. She was not mean...just bland. She told me my case arrived today and I need to give them two weeks to assign a case number. I will call back on Monday. The positive was I didn't wait on hold at all and they received the case. 8/22/18 was my NAO2.

The first guy I talked to was rude and the second woman was rude and was quick to get me off the phone. Their lack of people skills is unbelievable.

Call them if you want your case number right away otherwise you can wait for them to ship your files to U.S. Embassy then they will email you your case number. (I didn’t recieve any mail from NVC)

I called at 6pm and had no wait. You press 1 for English then 7 to ask a question. They will need your receipt number (WAC#) and may ask your name, beneficiaries name, DOB's. My NAO2 was the2/ 22, I called 3/9 and they just received the case that day and no case number was assigned yet.

Roll on tomorrow, 199 days. I was hoping to hear by 200 but we shall see.

Keep the faith!
It's already possible that you are approved and it's in the mail somewhere!
That's what happened to me. I thought I was on Day 202 and it came to my mailbox, 6 days approved prior!
It's coming :)
