Passport copies are for petitioner only but passport photos are one for each (beneficiary and petitioner)

I see thank you, i got confused i thought they meant copies of beneficiary's passport. but they mean the two passport photos?

Just to clarify (can't find the exact answer on any official pages or next step links)...

Can we complete and file the DS-160 form PRIOR to receiving the NVC case number? Or is that required on the application prior to paying and booking?

Can we book the medical appointment PRIOR to receiving the letter from the embassy but ensure that we have it before attending the actual appointment?

We're on a tight time schedule around work, children and international travel so trying to get as much completed as possible (NOA2 on March 6th so still a few weeks out from NVC case number).

Thanks,

Annie

@Nikki&pat Girl, if no one knows I think we should give it a shot and fill out the form! ;) I linked to it last night and it didn't require a Case# to start it...just didn't get that far so maybe I'll give it a shot tonight and see what happens.

Sorry didn't see. You can fill it, yes it won't ask for a case number. But to submit it I would wait status to get ready.

for medical most places require the NVC case number even to reserve the spot. Again the letter part depends on the country (I can go with the printout of NVC case number email for example but they prefer the letter)

You can start doing your DS-160. When you get your case number you can submit it. Also start gathering all your documents for the interview.

With your case number you can track the case and once it says in transit the NVC will send you an email. With that email, now you can book your VAC and your interview. And you also can go to your medical. ( medical need to be done atleast a week or 8 days prior to Interview) (or 5-6 business days). Then you can do your VAC and interview.

ive heard that they don’t ask for it. But it’s better to have just in case. You never know. I will be bringing it just in case.
