I called everyday since the 7th day after noa2, because people were reporting here they got their case number in less than 10 days.

once nvc says they received your case but no case number yet then call back the next day and if they don't then call back the next day  and they should have it.

they received mine two days ago and this morning had a case number.  Monday and Tuesday I called after 5pm est time. but today I called this morning (if they didn't have it I would have called again this evening) if they ask you the applicants (fiancé) name and dob then you know they have the case number in front of them lol then they will ask why your calling and then say give me that case number and invoice number.

After 212 days, we finally got a text and an email for an RFE.  It's not an approval, but we are still relieved...

NVC is apparently closed right now (just called) - there are some pretty heavy storms hitting the East Coast lately. So if they happen to be closed randomly, keep in mind that it may be due to weather.

um, you know you can do the same scan on your smartphone if you have one, the case tracker app. you can search cases before your WAC number and after. it will show if they are close to your wac. I knew I was close to NOA2 when I did a scan and the few before me were approved and a few after me. then a few days later I got the noa2. its very simple and you don't need to wait for someone to post the same information that you can do right on your phone.

I was about to post the same thing and ask! Because I've been hearing people saying recently that they got their case numbers. But it looks like they maybe closed early and the storms are pretty bad so it might be a few days?

Download the app called "case tracker" it will let you scan from any case number.

snowstorm shutting down the NVC, another snowball thrown at us lol

could be that they will be closed to Monday, snowstorm tonight and tomorrow until 1pm , then roads messy for Thursday and some will probably not go in on Friday and wait to return to work Monday, so this has a snowball effect (pun intended)
