What do you mean by  "Mail?"
NVC will not contact you until WELL after they send your documents to the embassy, telling you they have sent ur documents to the embassy.
That should probably be about 2-3 months after ur NOA2 (depending on if ur case is electronic or not)

That's why it is suggested you call NVC yourself after about 2-3 weeks after NOA2 to get ur case number and proceed with your embassy instructions.

He called them a few days ago and they said they dont have any info on our case yet.. :( should he keep calling them?

Thanks!! Where do you get the list of documents needed?

That's embassy specific
Either look for ur embassy under here in VJ and ask others who recently went to an interview
Or wait for ur case to be Ready with NVC and have ur embassy/contact ur embassy for the packets telling you what you need to bring

U most likely have an electronic case-
Simply means it takes longer for ur case to be put into the system. I think some people with electronic cases are getting something in about 4-6 weeks.
It can't hurt to keep calling since there's really no timeline. But calling maybe once every few days?

You're almost there!
Congrats in advance girl

U will be fine
It won't take 3 months
If ur case gets to the embassy and u can't get an interview before the expiration date, just e-mail them
they usually just extend those a few more months. It's really nothing to worry about

Hope am not late in replying this:

Originals/copies depends on the embassies.
And I think when you say "original" you mean a "wet" signature? As really most of these documents are about the signatures on them.
Tax return, bank statement is most likely a copy. U will not have an "original" tax return or a bank statement as you're printing things produced by someone else. So do not panic unnecessarily. It's gonna be okay :D

Your embassy should send you a packet 3/4 which details what you need to bring for interview. Follow that as that is the best thing to do.

yeah when I said original I meant wet signature.

My concern is regarding a work statement. Petitioners boss signed it but only scanned it and sent via email. So we have a letter from work, which was signed by his boss, but only in the printed version, not with his boss wet signature. Would that be ok, since it's neither the petitioner, nor the beneficiary signature?

And thanks for the reply! :)

honestly, its hard to know what is "okay" and what is not these days.
If that's all you have, then relax. I doubt they will reject someone over a document that's not "Wet" signed.
Half the documents we take to the interviews are not asked for anyway.

Sorry gyrl!  I was wrong.  I read it wrong.  I forgot that your current good news was from NVC.  I was reading your NOA2 as this recent event.  All is good :)
