First time posting on here but I'm just getting really anxious about the wait for our NOA2!

 

Our petition was received on August 23rd 2017, on March 21st 2018 I submitted an enquiry as it was outside the normal processing times and was told our case was being adjudicated and should receive a notice of action within 45 days. Fast forward 45 days, still nothing. Called again to query, got put through to Tier 2 who could only tell me that the case was still pending and put in another request and told me I know had to wait a further 15 days for a response. When we hit that 15 days, it would've been 9 months since our petition was received, I know it's a long process but I feel like I'm getting no information and just constantly being told to wait longer, I know it's a waiting game but daaamn give me something!!

 

Is anyone else also waiting this long to receive their NOA2?

 

Hello! Im august 23rd filer as well. Today my fiance called and sent an e-mail to them directly, obviously no answer on the e-mail yet. When we were pushing them by e-mail  before the 45 days, they had a very quick response "we have 45 days yet, please wait". 45 Days only for us to follow their procedure and stop annoying them, because at the end nothing happened. Now that 45 days are over they didn't respond the e-mail yet. On the phone we could only open an inquiry as well and its very frustrating. That's tough but hang in there!

I am so sorry about your situation... 

Why do you think they are taking so long? 

Have you asked if it's pending background checks??

Have you filed an inquiry through your fiance's state senator or congressperson?

August 1st.....no NOA2 yet...submitted inquiry I'm March and was told 45 days..so that will be May 20th or so...

No! He just opened an inquiry on the phone with uscis twice and he got an email to speak with them directly... but if we weren’t waiting with thousands of people we would be very worried.. they said they sent it to an adjudicator when we opened the first inquiry. I will ask him about this state senator or congressperson thank you

Hey, I know it sucks but I'm glad there's more August filers out there still waiting otherwise I would really be panicking! Yeah I had the exact same thing during the 45 days, and just like you say now the 45 days are up all I've got is another inquiry and 15 days to wait this time! Hope you get some good news soon!

A quick question, we filed Aug 18, got RFE end of February, sent back answer,  and during ALL this time our case has been silent on the page. I mean we are still at "Your case was received" Is this silent process normal? No changes no nothing?

Have you made sure that they actually received what you needed to send back?

Hello everyone. I just came from my interview. What they asked prior to my interview was his 2016 Income Tax Return only. So that was what we provided.

 

During my interview, they asked for his 2017 ITR. But I told them that he was granted an extension til October 2018.

 

They asked me to bring  a copy of that extension and my passport this afternoon.  Is this going to be a problem?

Heyyy Ive been in silence for 258 days, not even a RFE. So you are not alone on this hahaha I just sent the e-mail to my fiance with this thing about congressperson and senator, ombudsman lets see. But anyway they wont forget about us, at some point they will get to our case.

What is ur current status on case tracker?
U might be in AP- Administrative processing- i.e. you don't get approved until you send in what they ask for.
It's May- tax deadline for most was April. So it is expected that if you don't have the most recent tax returns going to interviews at this time, you bring the explanation of why.

Send them what they ask for and hopefully, your approval follows soon. Goodluck!

Yes, it's now saying "Administrative Processing". 

 

My fiance said he still doesn't have enough information to do his taxes that's why he requested for an extension. This is what he sent me...

Well without us guessing your fiance's status-
It's hard for us to help you with something as sensitive as tax information.

 

I'll suggest you get together the proper documents needed- maybe this document you have here and give it to embassy and see if that fulfills the requirement.
Usually with AP, once you provide what they ask and it is sufficient, then your approval should come shortly.
