Sorry for the sidetracking, but I kinda find it ironic when things like this happen, and people get mad, but yet they seem to forget that this happened to native Indians, aboriginals, and to the native people of SA and other places.

 

Personally I feel sorry for the people this ( forced to give up their land)  is happening too.

  I do too. When apartheid ended the constitution was supposed to prevent this. Now they will change the constitution.

 

  Life was horrible in South Africa. People here who talk about the economy don't want to talk about the 90% of the population lived for years in misery and poverty without any rights or justice whatsoever. Life was good for some. Just not very many. 

 

  In the end the oppressed becomes the oppressor. Brutal lessons were, perhaps, learned too well. One lesson always seems to be missed though. Years of injustice will not be resolved with more injustice.

Yeah, I'm sure they said the same then. I'm not for seizing property from anyone, but I find it kinda of awkward when people react differently on the same subject. And act like they did the Indians a "huge" favor, otherwise they would be living in "Indian reservations". You can replace Indians by , aboriginals, and Africans btw.

 

You know who else took their country back? After 900 years occupation/ civilization by the Moors? Spain.

Funny thing.  A few months back I decided to do my ancestry DNA.  Was sure that my family origins were primarily Italian, German. and English.  Turns out the majority of my DNA history is from Ireland/Scotland/Wales, which they say is distinctly different from Great Britian.  I had no idea.....

 

And I was the one that always wears orange on St Patricks day.
