Hello All: I have two receipt numbers on my ASC biometric letter. My Question is:

The receipt number which is also on my I-797 NOA letter now shows on USCIS that my I-751 case has been transferred to my local office two days ago.

My second receipt number status hasn't changed since August 2017 and states that they have received my CRI-89 form petition to remove condition PR status.

I called USCIS to confirm two things, first if the case transfer info is correct and second why is my second receipt number not updated? The agent couldn't help and said he would have to transfer me to the Level 2 officer. There is a wait and I am yet to speak to an office. Is this normal? Thanks for your help.

There are a lot of transfers to local offices since last weekend. It is not really clear what is going on, the thoughts are from shifting work loads from service centers and being a computer glitch. There are several threads here that discuss this topic, especially the monthly filer´s threads. It happened to myself as well and so far people get different info from USCIS customer representatives about it.

okay. Quick question: do you also have two receipt numbers? If so, do they both show the same information as the case being transferred or something  like mine?

Yes, the first number didn´t work since May 2017 when I filed, first showed that my case was received. Then suddenly it changed over the weekend, first number changed from case I-751 to CR-89 received and the second number suddenly worked and showed the transfer. Here is great info on what is going on and what people think about it:

Yes, everybody got 2 receipt numbers... it's weird, but that's the way it is. You get assigned one with your initial application (the one that's now saying "transferred" for most of us) and the one that still just says "my case has been received" - which mine has said for a year longer than yours!

It's normal, and although nobody knows what the new update means (or if it means anything) you're not alone!

Is your timeline updated?

So what did Tier 2 say.

There is big talk about all this....see various thread such as

Other monthly filer threads also contain some discussion.

There was a tools update on Thursday evening and another one is scheduled for tomorrow.  Perhaps, if it is a glitch, it will be fixed.  Praying its not and that our files are sent to local offices.  https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/tools-outage

The level 2 officer said that my case has been moved to the local office. He said now the next step in process is that some teams are going to do investigation. He told me that the receipt # that shows the case has been transferred is for their reference and that I should look for the second receipt # (CRI-89 )for any updates.

He also said after the case has been transferred it could take anywhere from 12-24 months for them to make a decision. He also told me that to make an appointment 30 days prior my expiry date of my GC to get another extension for 12 months on my passport. Wait game begins...

Has anyone gotten a similar respnse from a level 2 officer?  all the best everyone.

That awesome news!  So I guess your file would have been sent to VSC instead? .

Interesting.  I wonder the ratio is of files being sent to local offices from VSC  to  CSC.  I kind of got the impression it was mostly CSC filers who's cases were transferred.  :(

My actual NOA2 came from a local office.

I sent my application to VSC centre as I am from New Jersey. If this is not a glitch then I think they have now transferred my application to the USCIS centre in NJ.

You mean the ASC Biometrics Appointment? Yes, that comes from the local office so you can go to that USCIS centre and do the biometrics.

No I mean the NOA2. The approval notice was from the USCIS office in Denver.
