Hi,

Can somebody please clear things up for us? We are going to be applying for advance parole for me, but my question is: we were originally going to apply for AP along with applying for green card. Knowing that the process could take up to 90 days...we would like to avoid the situation where I'm stuck in my home country after our wedding there in July...waiting for my AP still come in the mail, and my husband going back to the US without me. Soooo, we were going to risk it and do it as Emergency AP..through InfoPass. How de we go about doing that? Do we NOT apply for AP along with my green card paperwork and apply separately for Emergancy AP when we have the appointment? I understand that it can be risky and they may need proof of mergency, which we don't have...except the fact that we have a huge wedding in my home country in July...and it would be good for me to be present  haha

anyhow...thanks in advance!

Keep it up guys!

V&D,

"haha" indeed. If you leave the USA before you have the advance parole document in hand you will be waiting in your home country until you have either a K3 visa or an immigrant visa.

Send in your I-131 along with your I-485, then get an InfoPass appointment and grovel. (And prepare yourself to miss that huge wedding.)
