By calling phone# Just got my case ID and invoice #. Now What?

I called NVC last night and got our case ID and invoice # after waiting 17 days since received by NVC. However, the agent said Not to do anything until we receive the Welcome Package by email.

 

I checked on here https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx  and I am Able to login and start application...

 

Is there truth to what agent is telling me Not to do anything? and oh yes, the agent said it can take up to 4 weeks to get that "Welcome Package Email"!!!

 

Two more questions;

what is in that package email any ways? Are there sample of what it looks like online?

should be a NOA2 telling you to pay the 2 fees for I 864 and DS 260

after paying and when the site says paid you will be directred to fill in I 864 online and foreign spouse do DS 260 online

then another wait

when these are processed you will get a checklist of needed documents and intructions for  doing the medical exam( list of approved doctors) and the crimianl investigation for foreign spouse

you wil have to provide proof of income along with any missing documents (and some do get lost by immigration)

when you recieve all documents from Jordon (with the English translations) send in ALL at one time with the bar code letter from NVC

in upper right hand corner of each and every paper write the case number, both names and both DOB's

do not staple or place in folders or paper clip

I got the above info about marking pages from a VJ member and it helped keep my documents from bieing misplaced
