I hear you- it’s how I feel when I read that people get ‘in transit’ the same day as they get their case numbers. And here I am 12 days after a case number has been assigned and nothing. I’m feeling pissy and punchy because everyone says “fasten your seatbelts it goes really fast once you have a case number” but for me that isn’t that case.

right, and that's not spoken out of jealousy or something. it just doesn't make any sense.

i mean either u touch the case or you don't. either you register something and do the next step, but u don't put

it back on a pile and don't touch again. nonsense!

i'm sorry you are waiting now too :( that's really not cool...i hope and pray that you get an update today cos the wait has been too long!

Ugh - sorry for my last post. I’m actually in a fairly horrible place right now. I have been in the UK visiting Stuart and my mom and dad and on Friday my mom had a massive subarachnoid  brain hemorrhage and following emergency brain surgery is now on life support in the neuro ICU . I have extended my stay to help my dad and all my sisters are here but I have to go back the the US and my own children, my job etc  at some point. I don’t want to go back when we have no idea what is going to happen to my mama. And I don’t  want to leave Stuart who is the only one stopping me from falling apart.  So sorry for my negativity, all I want is for my mama to get better and for her to be able to come to my wedding but now that might never be a possibility.

My dear Lucy, I'm so sorry to read on what happened to your mama. Please be strong because I know that your mama will fight to become better because she knows that she has a wedding to attend.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Wish I am near so I could come see you. Please remember that I am here for you. Me and @Swissmiss82 are just a message away when you need someone to talk or vent to. You can do this dear and Stuart is there with you to give you strength.  Sending you my hugs!

Question: Has anyone changed information on their DS 160 that was originally on their application? Something as simple as a phone number?

I changed my daughter's date of birth. I mistakenly put in I-129F September instead of October. Rapidvisa peeps told me,  it wouldn't be an issue. I called Embassy in Manila,  the same answer.

Good morning everyone ☀️

Question! My fiancé is currently working with his dad just to help out until he comes here, he left his old job back in January because he needed to give notice before leaving.

We’re confused whether to list his dad has his employer or just list him as not employed.

Any thoughts?

Does his dad give him a 1099?  Maybe self-employed for that period may be the good answer.

I don’t believe he does he’s in the UK so I’m not sure what the equivalent to a W2 would be.

I assume id just list him as not employed as he doesn’t receive any type of paystub etc

Oh, he is the beneficiary?  They don't care how much the beneficiary makes.  They only care about the US citizen.  He doesn't need any proof of income at all.  You can put his dad as the employer.  I used my fiancee's sister as her employer.  She occasionally sells bags and shoes.  It really doesn't matter what the beneficiary does unless it is defense of weapons related.

Self-employed may be the best answer there.

oooooohhh! that's awesome you are baking zopf :D i need to ask what kind of flour you are using! i tried it 3 times and my recipe

didn't really turn out sooo great. and do you have dry yeast that you use?

we are still waiting for the number, so... no update at our end!

how lucky that he is with you for sooo long now :) awesome! hope u enjoy every moment of it!

the doc in zurich (there are 2 others in switzerland as plan b and plan c) has usually a waiting time of 3 - 5 days, so

that can be done quick... and technically the wait for embassy is around 2 weeks, so that could be done quick also.

i couldn't find out if there is an option to pick up the passport with visa the next day or if the only option is mailing it back.

i found the info that we have to give an envelope with stamps on it so i'm assuming this is the only way...

but hopefully that'll be sent quick! don't worry about the long wait! that should go pretty quick...

well let's continue waiting on that NVC #... it can only take 5.5 more weeks haaa!

that's exactly what i said... it can't take that long!

but today marks 16 days and still nothing :) i got to the point where i don't even have hope for a POE in april anymore although

the waiting time for the embassy shouldn't be more than 2 weeks.. but yeah...!

frustration is so high that i gotta make sure i stop online shopping so much now lol

Aww I’m sorry :( I’m sure they have to have something this week! Otherwise I’d be shocked

we haven’t scheduled anything yet as we’re just finalizing the ds-160

lol that’s what I’ve been trying not to do as well 😂 it’s just tempting when you get emails all the time haha

Ahh okay, I knew his income wouldn’t matter but that definitely helps to know

I’ll just list him as not employed

thanks so much !

It should not be an issue.

Oh thats good to know. Because the controversy behind WAC AND NVC was driving me nuts  so just incase i need to change something I was also reading that on the I134 we have to put the fiance down as a dependent:o I already sent the package to him soo i'm hoping we wont be denied at the interview step over this.

Love knows no reason,no boundaries,no distance .It has a sole intention of bringing people together to a time called FOREVER!!!!!!!!

nope - nothing....

so i hope whoever reads this and feels i'm negative and should give NVC more time,

will NOW understand why i'm past frustrated after having the file there for 15 days, and seeing others

have NOA2 10-12 days after me, and currently seeing their case got to the embassy already and they already planned

medical and embassy appointments.. i feel i have the right to be pissed and upset...

but yeah... as always - nothing i can do at this point so it is what it is.....

Hey, if it makes you feel better. I never called and found out my case was at the embassy exactly 3 weeks after noa2.

Not calling was crazy hard, because the whole process really testes my nerves, but there it was.

So, maybe just give it a couple more days. And try not to call for one or two days. You may find the email in your fiance inbox and receive a nice "I told you so!"

And trust me, then it speeds up so much, maybe too much! and you realize those last 7 months went by so quickly and you're so so close.

I hope it helps! From a very very nervous person to (i guess - no offence intended!) another :)

Did anyone going through the UK embassy have difficulty getting in touch with Knightsbridge?
