it is frustating to see people that filed behind you go way faster than you, but once you get a case number...it'll go really quick.

i am not jealous of people getting it, i'm just upset and mad they don't have a proper system with replies that

can give u an answer on why something may take longer or whatever...

i am happy for each person that gets to be with their loved ones ASAP. this 7-8 month wait for everybody is crazy.

and i'm happy for whoever gets their number quick.

just saying it's not acceptable to keep hearing the sentence "it can take up to 8 weeks blablabla" ####### when we know and

have confirmation of soo many vj'ers that they got it sometimes the same day.

then give me a reason WHY ours is stuck, if you received 15 days ago. tell me you lost something, or the embassy has

different requirements or something!

Thanks but I am a k1 beneficiary and my fiance' is my sponsor .Was wondering if my unemployment will affect the visa application.

no as the petitioner is the responsible for the beneficiary so if you are not working it won't affect

Sorry. I had a senior moment as I didn't see that you were the Beneficiary. There is no requirement that the beneficiary be employed. So you are good to go.

OK. Thanks a lot. In DS 160 form you are required to give an explanation if you choose unemployed as an answer to the question on 'present Education/Employement'.What do you think?

Answer the question truthfully and explain why you are unemployed. There can many answers but none of the answers are going to disqualify you. So put down the reason.

nope - nothing....

so i hope whoever reads this and feels i'm negative and should give NVC more time,

will NOW understand why i'm past frustrated after having the file there for 15 days, and seeing others

have NOA2 10-12 days after me, and currently seeing their case got to the embassy already and they already planned

medical and embassy appointments.. i feel i have the right to be pissed and upset...

but yeah... as always - nothing i can do at this point so it is what it is.....

I hear you- it’s how I feel when I read that people get ‘in transit’ the same day as they get their case numbers. And here I am 12 days after a case number has been assigned and nothing. I’m feeling pissy and punchy because everyone says “fasten your seatbelts it goes really fast once you have a case number” but for me that isn’t that case.

Ugh - sorry for my last post. I’m actually in a fairly horrible place right now. I have been in the UK visiting Stuart and my mom and dad and on Friday my mom had a massive subarachnoid  brain hemorrhage and following emergency brain surgery is now on life support in the neuro ICU . I have extended my stay to help my dad and all my sisters are here but I have to go back the the US and my own children, my job etc  at some point. I don’t want to go back when we have no idea what is going to happen to my mama. And I don’t  want to leave Stuart who is the only one stopping me from falling apart.  So sorry for my negativity, all I want is for my mama to get better and for her to be able to come to my wedding but now that might never be a possibility.

I know your "pain". When my previous wife was diagnosed with breast cancer she was given 6 months to a year to live. That woman never gave up. She extended her life for 5 years till her death. I was left with her memory and three children; twins girls at 9 yo and a son 11. I had many of the same thoughts you are experiencing. We all face battles and set backs in life. That's a given. But what we don't realize is that there are a lot of people depending on us. Yes that includes YOU! Besides your mother, your father, your siblings, your children and Stuart. You need to take the lead and be strong. Work with Stuart on a plan. What can he do in your absence. What can you do from the USA. Then set your team up to help. Involve friends, church members, your minister and your mother's minster. Everyone needs to be rowing the boat in the right direction. If everyone is rowing in the right direct and at the right cadance you'll get through this.

Right now just forget about your visa for now. Let visa things fall into place and they will. You can't hurry the Government.

My thoughts are with you.

Oh my goodness @Greenbaum I’m so sorry you have been through such pain and I am so glad that you have found joy again.  Yes you are right, plans need to be made but right now we don’t know what those plans should be as we don’t know what is going to happen with my mama. The next few days will maybe give us all some clarity to be able to move forward. Thank you for you good thoughts, I really apreciate them xxx

Actually you are right, I did put a Wac number there too. My mistake.

So final verdict is that it should not be the WAC number?

It is the WAC number.

Thanks. The back and forth was making it even more confusing. I do believe that I entered the WAC on my application.

The signing of the DS-160 is a very gray area as to what are the consequences if the Petitioner were to sign instead of the Beneficiary. I am not sure how they would know unless they have a underlying way of capturing the IP address that allows them to know what country it was signed in.

Most applicants work together on the form. Pet is the one who fills in the document along with the Ben and once completed it's saved and then accessed by the Ben and signed. Once it is signed then it is available to print.

He's just gonna do it tomorrow after he gets off of work. I was just trying to rush to get everything scheduled because I'm so ready to get this part over and done with.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken
