To those who recently had their interview in Manila:

Is it necessary to bring a copy of the 1st I-129F submission, or I just have to bring recent photos / Viber screenshots from NOA1 date to present? Thank you!

OMG, the status now is "READY"..! Just only 6 days at NVC. This is happening too fast knowing the beneficiary had 2 K2 dependents.

I hope that they receive their case numbers for those who are still waiting.

@John & Rose thank you for the informations you shared to us.

Depends on the embassy. I payed the fee and completed the usatraveldocs profile, but I will need to schedule the interview over the phone or e-mail. No visible calendar for me. Maybe Budapest is the same. Did u receive the packet 3 e-mail?

I’m sorry, what is the usatraveldocs profile and where you find that?

I needed to fill out this with passport info, where i want my password to be delivered if the visa is approved, and I payed the visa fee thru this website. (Need to bring the confirmation page to the interview). Also for some countries ppl can schedule the interview on this website. Might be different for Hungary. Best would be to e-mail the embassy or call and ask for the next steps.

:( when you call have they given a reason as to why it’s taking so long ?

They've had it for 2 weeks surely it doesn’t take that long to assign it a number!

@Greenbaum I received my case number and invoice Id today. Forgot to ask NvC but what is invoice Id used for? Also, The guy on phone said that case number cannot be tracked online at ceac website cuz that’s for some consular status tracking. I’m also confused cuz I read package 3 is usually sent but someone just told me it’s package 4 at my embassy. What is going on? After receiving case number what’s our next step?

Invoice ID is not used for anything.

The important item is the Case Number(CN) which is three letters followed by ten digits (numbers). The ten numbers will help you to know when the National Visa Center created the case. If your case number is CDJ2001747007, your case has been assigned to the embassy in Ciudad Juarez and 2001 is the year in which the USCIS forwarded your case to the National Visa Center. The number shows that your case was created on September 4, 2001, the 247th day of the year 2001 and the Julian date is 500 plus 747. The last three digits of your case number, 007 shows that your case is the seventh case that was created for Ciudad Juarez, on September 4, 2001 and the case number assigned to you will help your overseas consular section to find your case. You use the CN at ceac to follow the status of your case. Why the agent on the phone told you that but his information was wrong.

Embassy's are weird in their use of Packets. Most times a P3 is the information and what documents are needed for the interview. P4 usually is the reply to the Embassy with supporting documents that were requested in P3. But there is a lot of ambiguity between Embassy's and each seems to call one step different from another Embassy. Just ignore the nomenclature for the packets.

I can't tell you what the next steps are because your profile needs updating to reflect your country. Go to the top right of this page select your name>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once I know the country then I posible can help you with the next steps. But if you read some of my most recent post where others have asked the same question I give three area for you to visit. I believe yesterday was the day I responded to two couples on "what do I do next"?

Kind of a crazy question, I think. But, has anyone thought of a plan B god for bid interviews don't go as planned? I know we all plan for our significant other to be with us here in the USA or for you to be with your significant other but I was looking at approvals / denials and boy are denials up. Kind of makes me panic a bit especially with the fact that Morocco is pretty tough...

Plan "B" could turn out to be that you marry in her country and then file for the CR1 visa. Most times they must grant a visa unless either of you have a "dark" history :D

@h&y   Were those denials specifically in Morocco or anywhere? I haven’t really met my fiancé after getting engaged back in July. Would that be a red flag? Do we have to take proofs of ongoing relationships? If yes, would text messages and call logs be fine since we didn’t meet and there are no pictures? Dang now my heart’s beating. Is not meeting gonna turn against us?

The rule of thumb is that you both have had to of met in person within the prior two years before the interview. If you have no problem if you haven't someone needs to get on a plane to meet this requirement.

Yay, it's "IN TRANSIT"... got our case number on April 2nd,  after 3 days, now it's going to Manila Embassy.

Congrats. Have you visited the sub-forum for the Philippines? here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

And use Hank's website to navigate all that you need to do to complete your visa interview. It's free and has all the steps and links for documents needed. Here: http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Most likely you will not get any kind of Packet as PhilPost sucks at delivering.
