ahhh great news.. nvc received our case today (NOA2 - March 16).. she said I should call back and press 5 to get more information.

I haven't received any email from NVC, but I know they have it as they've given me my case and invoice number.  I did confirm they have my email address as well hmm...I hope I hear something soon!! :)) Good Luck!! Happy for you!

Standard answer. You can do you DS-160 now or later just before your interview. No advantages to either except being able to check it off your list of things to do. The government is always going to over promise so just keep that in mind.

Did you try checking your status here?

@John&Rose, happy that you  are finally close to the end of this journey and in this group too.  We were approved  3/30/18. So what next?

Thank you!  Next Monday start calling NVC for your Case Number and your Invoice ID number.  Once you get that you can start on the DS-160!

DS-160 is completely filled out and passport photo has been uploaded (thanks to me of course ). Tomorrow, Reni and I will review it together to make sure all is good and then he will e-sign, submit and print the confirmation page. Then I will pay the visa fee. Hopefully, we can schedule the interview and medical exam tomorrow, even though our case is still saying "at NVC" on the CEAC case tracker. 

 

Should I be worried that it's still at the NVC??? I mean, I just got my case # on Monday and I know it suppose to be about 5-7 days before it goes to the JA Embassy but shouldn't it be "in transit" by now, or is this my paranoia kicking in? Should I wait until I see the case is "in transit" before we schedule the interview and medical exam or just do it anyway?

Congrats.....you can't pay the visa fee for Kingston until it shows as received, this based on my experience.....

Feeling your pain and paranoia! Ours has been at NVC for 8 days now ( gulp!)

Just called NVC and they recieved my case and gave me my case number and invoice number 6 days at NVC she said it hasn't been processed yet but shouldn't be long before they send it off to the embassy

Congrats! Your NOA2 date is March 27 right?
