Then that’s the link where you can check the status..

What’s the error message it says when you put your nvc case number and location?

It was saying Invalid Application ID or Case Number. Under the NonImmigrant Visa Tab. When I selected Immigrant Visa and entered my case number it came up and said case was in transit to consular and Interview date was provided by the NVC

@KAF I just called and was told by Kendall that our case was received today no idea what happened between today and Friday but makes me feel better than the panic I went through yesterday!

@Xie_xong I've already completed and submitted the DS160. I was just wondering how you pay the fees but someone else has told me you can't pay the fees until you have scheduled the interview, which I haven't done yet.

So I think my steps are something like this (any confirmation/corrections welcomed!)

- Get my medical notes/vaccination history (appointment with my GP next week)

- Await police certificate and birth certificate in post (should be this week)
- Book medical

- Complete Notification of Readiness form

- Schedule interview

Hi @NicolaBolton87 oh I am sorry I just read your previous posts saying that you did finish your ds160. It's weird because usually we are only able to book interview appointments after the payment and not the other way around. Maybe it all depends on the embassy of choice and I am really unaware on how you guys do it in your chosen embassy.

Unfortunately, I can't confirm your planned steps because we're not on the same embassy. But I can't see anything wrong with the steps you gave.

Goodluck to all of us. Hopefully everything will run smoothly .

- You have to complete the applicant readiness form https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/immigrant-visas-notification-applicant-readiness-form/

- Then go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv

There you will enter your information for the umpteenth time, then it will show you the earliest available date, THEN you pay the fee. :)

For anyone going through the UK embassy do you know if you pay for the medical prior to the appointment?

Thanks!

You pay at the appointment

There are many subtle and some not so subtle differences between Embassies.  In the Philippines we can start the process as soon as we get the number from NVC.  We do need to have the MRV payment in at least 12 hours prior to being able to book an interview slot but we can book when our status is still "At NVC".  Of course we need to book the interview out long enough for the paperwork to get to Manila but all is in our hands at that point.  There is no "Packet 3" or "Packet 4" for us either.  That is the danger here.  What is correct for the Philippines is probably very wrong for just about anyone else.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

True..the good thing is, that makes the progress a bit faster in PH than in other embassies.

No kidding.  We could have set up the interview just 25 days after NOA2.

That's really quick. I've a got a couple of group chat members who are already on their interview stage in PH 2-3 weeks after their NOA2 date and it's crazy. How I wish I opted for PH US Embassy than here in UAE lol.

In case anyone else is in the same situation I am, I'm sharing this info;

Even though our case was "Ready" at the embassy on March 28th, I just received the email from NVC today (7 minutes ago, to be exact).

If you've scheduled anything but not gotten an email from NVC yet, don't panic. :)

Ok so, little update.

My fiance just received an email from Naples embassy (where I will have the interview) that our case is there and to follow the instructions in the attached.

Yaaaaayyyy!

The problem is we never called nvc for our case number (lazy fiance - scared me). We also never received an email/mail from nvc with our case number and in the embassy email there is not our case number.

Is it normal?

We basically found out our case is ready without ever knowing it was even assigned a case number to it in the first place.

What should we do? Any suggestions is really appreciated. Thanks!
