AWWW <3 You guys are soo adorable, you made it for 8 years! And soon you'll be together again (NO MORE LDR YAY!!) ❤️.  We've been in a ldr for 5 years also and I HATE the feeling every time I drop off my fiancee at the airport and wait for another 6 months to see each other again. But now we are almost done with it 🎉🎊Can't wait!!

Gosh that feeling is the worst!!! My fiance dropped me off at the airport for the last time at the end of January!! I can't wait to pick him up and have that be the end of us traveling alone! He's from the UK

For some reason, I never subscribed myself to the thread! Was wondering why it's been so quiet in my email.

February forum is being a total drag. It just makes me sad/stressed, and I've had enough of that!

On a side-note, I'm already going crazy and trying to stop myself from calling NVC. My petition was approved a week ago (yay!), so I have at least another week to go before I start calling.

hahaha I'm glad i'm not the only one feeling this way! This forum is much more cheery even if it is a little less active (i'm sure it will get more active as March rolls on)

Gosh me too! I get so excited when I see people getting their case numbers!! We are all sooooo close!!! This is like that last worst part. Once we have an interview date they can't push that back. I also can't wait to be done with calling them and listening to that God awful on hold music :jest: I'm staying positive! Every day is one day closer :D

The moment is so tantalizingly close it's hard to not go mad! I think I drove myself mad by calling the NVC at least twice a day for three weeks. If I could go back in time, I would have only called once every other day after waiting a week post-NOA2 😂 I promised myself I'll only call tomorrow now.

I love the menu man's accent. It's a strange American accent I rarely hear, here in NYC haha

Hey everyone! Very happy to finally be here :) My fiancé and I are September filers, and we got our NOA2 on the 13th of March, a little earlier than expected. I see there's no rush though - just onto the next wait

When are you all hoping to be in the US? Have all of you beneficiaries quit your jobs/started to ship or sell things yet?

Fancy seeing you here! Maybe we'll end up having Swedish/NYC AOS interviews around the same time after all?!

Not calling NVC right away is such a good choice. I started calling right away and lost my mind a bit. Groundhog day reliving the NVC script for 3 weeks haha. It just felt so close I couldn't help myself, but it would have been a lot better to wait! I think when I was a week post approval, I called USCIS to see if my app was shipped to NVC. I got an answer, but maybe it was not worth the trouble since it's going to go there either way

I have a fight with my previous employer going on, I'm delving back into wedding planning for our "big wedding" in October, and I'm searching for a new job. I've got enough going on to keep me busy for another week! I'm stressed/crazy enough as it is.

I'll call next Monday (the 26th), probably!

That sounds so stressful :( I hope this process goes by quickly for you at least. It's wild how everything can happen all at once, after sitting and waiting for months with nothing happening haha

I really appreciate the e-support. Thankfully, I've got a pretty good sense of humor about it all. I'm just laughing and letting it roll off my back. My life has a habit of going from 0 to 100 in all situations, so I'm honestly not surprised.

I'm just glad that we have NOA2, and that I know it should only be about 3 more months. I'll survive!

I'll do the online inquiry, and then proceed to call in a week or so.

I'm also really happy to see that you finally got your NOA2. You've always been so amazingly kind, and a calming presence. You really deserved it!

Actually, I'm a total jerk!  Rose really makes me a better person.  :D:P

The online inquiry to NVC feels a little more legit than the one for USCIS.  Good luck.  I will report back if I get any response.

I think love brings out the best in us all!

The NVC contact page definitely feels legitimate, and not like it exists just to keep people from calling. I sent an inquiry on mine just now. The true test of NVC customer service!

In case this info is helpful to anyone when mailing documents for the interview (specifically wet signature affidiant of support/evidence and updated intention to marry letter)-

I went to several mail services when seeking the best fast/cheap way to send my fiancé documents for the interview. USPS standard rate international rate envelope won best.

-Fedex wanted $120 for an international envelope (did they want my arm too??)

-UPS wanted above $100 also

-USPS bring your own envelope was only $10, but no guarantee of delivery date or tracking. The info I was sending felt too sensitive for this option also.

-USPS standard rate international envelope costed $32 (to Norway) and had a guarantee of 6-10 business day arrival. I thought this was best and went for it. I sent my documents last week and they haven’t arrived yet. Hopefully they won’t be too old when the interview date is scheduled, whenever that may be. Should be ok

Ahhh I know I promised myself several times I wouldn’t call today, but I did 😂 Almost like a unwilling reflex while sitting at work.

I got a case number!!!! This moment is happier than NOA2 for me. I’m so happy. This month has felt longer than the last 6. I had a really hard time and it’s such a relief. As soon as you call and they ask for the beneficiary’s name and birthday you know they have a case number for you!!  I’ll update the timeline on my signature now

Oh my gosh!! This is amazing news!! I'm happy for you! All the stars are aligning... Fingers crossed for you that the rest of this process speeds. up. :D
