If you download the app "google hangouts" you can ring NVC for free, it will only use your data (4G). I rang NVC 3 times using my google hangouts app, it's super easy!

I do have it. It's the app I use to talk with my fiance. But how do you call a number?

I thought it only worked with Gmail accounts not phone numbers!

theres a little telephone image at the bottom right, just click on it, then it will say you have US$0.00 balance and a little green dotted circle, click on that and you can dial a number - NVC will be +1 603 334 0700

Day 13 since NVC receive. I just spoke to Sunny who said my case should have a number by the end of this week. When I asked her to re-confirm she said she couldn't say for sure.  But she said everything looks good and it's going through its normal process, etc.

Tagging my homies in the electronic group who also have a March 20 NVC receive date. Anyone else out there?

@Xie_xong @Elif

Called this morning, still nothing for us as well. When I called on friday someone told me that our case was "on the line", whatever that means, and would be ready monday, which is today. So we'll see if that's true or not I guess

Yeah, but I have no idea if they received our case or if it's an electronic one or not. No idea at all. And I know it's a normal waiting time, but still, I'm getting anxious because I have no clue.

Thank you btw!

It took them 18 days from NOA2 just to receive my case. (Ugh.) When they receive your case you'll know if you're in the electronic group if they ask you to call back and dial 5. :)

BTW I never did this but you also have the option to call USCIS and ask what day your case left USCIS. :)

Oh nooo 😨 don’t say that! I thought electronic meant faster 😔

That’s what i thought too at first. However, in our case it’s not. Others from the electronic group are quite lucky that they’re able to have their case numbers 3-5 working days after the NVC received the approved petition. As of today, we’re on the 9th working day after NVC received our case. They’re so inconsistent and it is making me sad 😔.

Haven't posted much recent, but I hope everyone had a good Easter!

(I'm still recovering from the chocolates!).

My little update: We haven't attempted to call NVC yet, but we will be soon. We're not too worried about it just yet?

My main focus is making sure I have all the documents gathered and prepared, whilst my partner sorts out the NVC stuff. So... we're getting there!

Good luck to all of you, and take it easy !

Today I call the nvc and they give us our case number. Noa2 March 20 ,nvc case# April 2...They say now our case will be send to Mumbai.

Question

Now since I have the case number can I schedule the medical, biometrics and interview or not yet since he did receive yet the package from Mumbai consulate?

finally! we have the case number after 9 working days from the day they received it. Apparently they gave us the case no. and the invoice no. As per the agent, the embassy of choice will use the case no.like a username and the invoice number serves as a password to open the file in the system.

I have the same question! I've scanned pages and pages on this thread but am still confused.

We didn't receive an email OR post office mail regarding any thing from NVCNVC said they don't do anything else regarding our case.  We callled the Embassy and were told that NVC would schedule the interview.  Then called NVC but they said no, the Embassy will schedule the interview once they receive your case.  the CEAC site says "in transit".

What do we do?  We have our 160 finished & ready to submit.  Can we submit the 160, pay the fees, schedule medical & interview without any notices?  Or do we need to wait until we receive something from either NVC or the Embassy?

Thanks so much!

NOA2 March 13

Received at NVC March 26

NVC Case # received March 26

Sent to Embassy March 29
