I still don't get it when people ask each other if they're option 5 or 7. When I call, I press 1 for English and 3 to speak with someone to see if they've received my case. Am I missing something ?

So when I called and pressed 1, it put me on hold for 5 mins (I called before 10am) and then I was transferred to a person. Don't get discouraged you will get through. Maybe they are observing the holiday tmrw so they might be a bit busy tonight.

At this point, I am asking myself that same question.  I don't think they are a bad service but they certainly aren't required.  I used them and still had an RFE.  I know I am not going to pay and extra $1500 for them to do the AOS.  I will do that on my own with a lot of help from people here.

If i will knew about visa journey in the beginning I will not hire a lawyer either. Now to later for me too😀. At list they verify my papers forgot gotsend. Thanks God we got approval if not I will be angry.

I remember reading in May, June, or maybe July filers thread about USCIS was sending files electronically to NVC and it was faster to get number. Does anyone remember this and I was thinking there was a different way to go about checking if your case was sent electronically?

I'm going to cypher through and see if I can find the posts, but thought I would ask in case someone remembers off the top of their head or has it saved. Thanks.

There are lots of NOA2s coming in mail without an update on case tracker.

HI all,

Just got NOA 2 approval today. I'm wondering how long the rest of the process takes from here for London, UK.  I was going to give it 2 weeks before calling NVC to get case #.  Just wanting to get myself in the right mindset after going through the wait for the NOA2.

Congratulations and welcome!!!

NOA1 27 Jun 17

NOA2 19 Mar 18.

NVC received 28 Mar 18.

NVC case # Pending 🙏🏻

It took 9 days for NVC to receive our case, that was yesterday :) we are now waiting on our case # to be assigned. Some move fast and some move slow. There is a list going on here tracking the progress and it has help me

find some peace after the long wait for the NOA2. I will try to find it for you.

Anyone here still waiting for their case no? Electronic group here. Why can’t all US embassies have the same rules when it comes to how they would want to receive their approved petitions 😭😭😭. I honestly regret choosing UAE US embassy over Philippine US embassy.

When was your NVC received date? Took them 7 days to assign us a case number and it took 4 days for UAE embassy to receive it. At least it's what I understand when my status changed into "ready". Hang in there, you will receive it soon.

Are you in the electronic group?

Yes, I guess so. During my last phone call to NVC, I chose option 7 first but the person I talked to told me to call the same number and push option 5 instead. ^_^

The NVC received our case last March 20 (NOA2: March 2). It has been 7 working days since they received our case on March 29. On the same day at 11PM EST my fiance called NVC and it's still on progress. We're hoping they'll give our case number at least next week. I can't help but feel sad about it because even before filing my fiance told me to choose Philippine US embassy over UAE.

I must admit I'm a bit jealous/frustrated that so many with NOA2 dates up to a week after mine have a case number. It feels more personal than the USCIS process because our paperwork all came from the same place and one would think NVC does the same thing with every case: assigns it a case number and sends it to the embassy.  Maybe it's slower to get a case number for the electronic group, I'm guessing?

Same feeling here. The electronic group definitely is slower compared to those who are not. We have the same NVC received date. Hope we'll have ours soon.
