Boy, do I hear you...waiting was getting comfortable.  Once we got NOA2 it has been a blur.  New stresses and pressures.  More paperwork.  It was 20 days from NOA2 to the petition (or part of it) to be at the Embassy.  It was only 5 days from NVC received to READY.  We have some other challenges now since Aira is not on the petition for some reason but we will fix that.  They have already completed day 1 of the two day medical and the interview, as of this moment, is scheduled for April 17.  Talk about 0 to 60 speed!  Just hang in there.  You are doing great.  Keep breathing and this will all be over very soon.

@John & Rose You're the best! WOW! That's a whole lot in such a short period of time!! Good luck with Aira! I'm sure all will be well! You've been through enough already with USCIC!

For your I-134 are you getting your bank letter directly from your bank with any specific format? How about from employer?

Thank you :D

Also, not sure if accommodation is needed, but there are some right cheap places to stay near the embassy. We're taking advantage of that!

I asked the bank for a letter and they knew what I needed since I am also trying to buy a house so they have something other than my 1 bedroom apartment to live in.  It is the same with my employer.  Basically the same letter they use for the mortgage credit check.

You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form may be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You may also be asked to submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.

That is the general statement for Financial documentation. If you are a student with no income then you should use a co-sponsor preferably a close family member like siblings or parents. I want caution you as some Embassy's will not accept a co/sponsor as they are not required to. Some Embassy's will not ask for financial information. This is where it is best to find someone who has already been through the visa interview at the same Embassy you will process through.

Go to "Portals" on the blue ribbon on the top of this page. Once you are on the portal page select your country. On the right hand column you will see names of people who have just completed their interview. Send them a DM and introduce yourself and explain your situation and ask for their help. Also, they pay have Packet 3 or the Embassy letter that they could email to you. If you are kind in your delivery most people will help.

Thank you so much for all your help!  I unfortunately do not have relatives to help me in here. I have two close friends who are professors and they are willing to help. I hope this is not a problem /=. God willing everything will work out. THank you for the information

I hope things work out for you. Remember this, if the K1 fails you can go to her country and marry her there. Then file a CR-1, the Embassy has to except your co-sponsor. I have witness this happening first hand so I know it is true and can be done.  It will mean more time and more expense and it will test you and her as to what kind of relationship you have. Strong I hope.

All the best and God's speed.

I tried that too but won’t accept. Maybe I should just go to a photobooth and then scan those, that will probably be the most smooth thing. Phototool won’t work for me either. I feel technically incompetent.

Gotcha, it seemed that there was an option to skip picture, but maybe it’ll still force you to in that step?

Thanks to the both of you! And happy easter.

Go somewhere that can take passport photos and they can probably at the same time scan them to a thumb drive and then you can use them as you see fit. You will need them for AOS, ROC and Nat. so get them taken so your not rushed.

You can find it under the guides section on this website. Just click on the word guides at the top left hand side and then click on immigration guidelines and then click on k1 flowchart.

But there's nothing wrong with asking questions. That's what we're for.

Thank you!!

I only said that about questions cuz some of my questions are still unanswered so I was hesitant in asking more.

HI all,

Just got NOA 2 approval today. I'm wondering how long the rest of the process takes from here for London, UK.  I was going to give it 2 weeks before calling NVC to get case #.  Just wanting to get myself in the right mindset after going through the wait for the NOA2.
