The only approved places are Vancouver .. Toronto or Montreal and you have to do it at least 5 business days before the interview! :(

Yes you can schedule your medical. But, SLEC wants either the Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) or Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy (just print off a screen shot of the confirmation page once your appointment has been secured) either or.

Also, your are beginning to ask questions that can be answered by using this free step by step guide for processing through the Philippines found here http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html  Many who have gone before you have used this guide and it makes the whole process easier.

Thank you so much! 🙂

This information is a little old but maybe the links still work and it will have updated information. I used to have the link to the P3 letter but it's broke. That's why I have put out the request for anyone with a Embassy Letter if they could share it with me.

Bam! There you go: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/tourism-visitor/required-documents/

awesome thank you :)

Quick question!

My fiancés passport has gone through the wash so the gold on the UK passport is gone..

do you suggest getting a new one? As I know London can be kinda picky with passport conditions

thanks!

might be worth getting a new one just in case, even if you called and got the ok from the embassy each individuals opinion can differ :/ I have no experience on this though. But it doesn't take long to get a new one if you want to be safe.

Hay Naku...It turns out that we had two people show up as "READY" because for some reason, Aira was not included in the information sent to the Embassy.  Only Rose and AJ showed up when they looked at the file.  Since it is already in Manila there is nothing NVC can do about it here so I have to call the Embassy on their Monday to see if I can straighten this out.  I can't leave a 15 year old girl alone in the Philippines while her mother and brother move to the US!!!  LOL

NVC said we have time to fix it.  I checked all the paperwork and she is included.  We have receipts for her MRV, and confirmations of her medical and interview.  It is fixable but it happened right when I thought things were going really smoothly.  Aira is crying and we really don't know how to fix this easily.  Since this is Holy Week the Embassy is closed until Monday so we can only wait until then before we know what we have to do.

@Swissmiss82 I have a question and you’re the only person I can think of but others can chime in too.

For police background check: THe instructions say to get police clearance certificate from present country and all countries where we have lived for more than 6months. Does that mean that since you and I have been in the US on a student visa for more than 6months then we have to get police certificate from US too? If yes then how do we work on that?

You will need the number from NVC.  Once you have that you can submit the DS-160 and pay the MRV.  If you call and get the number then you can submit the DS-160 right away.  It varies from country to country on when you can schedule interview and medical.

The DS-160 will be sent with your package to the embassy.  Also have copies of everything for medical and interviews.

Hi John! I was unable to pay at BPI yesterday since work was crazy. Can I do the DS160 now and wait after I pay the visa fee in BPI on Monday before I book an interview schedule?

Certainly!  The order isn’t that important as long as you submit the DS-160 and pay the fee or you can’t schedule the interview. It won’t let you schedule the interview until the payment is recorded. That is 12 to 24 hours after payment is made.

Alright, thanks so much! I hope you get to fix your concern with NVC and the Embassy on Monday.

Me too!  I’m worried about that. I don’t know if they ever considered her as part of the petition. I checked the paperwork and she is there. If she can’t come now we will really be screwed and we will have to start over from scratch.

Do the K2s only show up once the petition arrives at the embassy?  Mine is still "At NVC," but doesn't mention my fiance's daughter.  Just wondering if I should call NVC to make sure they send the K1 and k2 to the embassy.
