For the Philippines you can rock & roll once you get the number.  Fill out the DS-160 and pay the fees.  Go and pre-register at SLEC and set the interview date.  Make it a couple weeks out so you know the petition will get there.  We got our number two days before you and we are already "In Transit".  No reason to wait.  Go get it set up!

Oh okay, thank you! All the best to you! :)

The form itself is easy, it's just redundant. Like, you asked who the US Point of Contact is but then ask if you have immediate relatives and to select fiancé and have to fill out my information AGAIN!!!

Then the question, "have you ever had a US visa cancelled or revoked" and then I click yes and the box opens for us to type in an explanation. Then the very next question they ask is "have you ever been denied entry or admission into the US", for us to click yes, and the another box opens for us to type in an explanation. I just gave you an explanation...but you want me to repeat myself AGAIN!!! SMH...I just copied and pasted the same explanation in both boxes.

USCIS took all my patience away that now I have to find some more patience. But I'm better now..2nd cup of coffee is starting to kick in!!!

Having a visa revoked is different than being denied entrance.  The visa revoked happens anytime, being denied entry happens at POE.  You can have a valid visa and be denied entry at POE if the personnel at the airport suspect something.  That happened to a friend of mine.  Her daughter was refused entry while her visa was valid.  Don't overthink it.  A lot of these forms cover more than one type of visa (we dont use a priority date but it still asks for one).

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

@Trinab80 did you receive your case number as yet?  My embassy is also Kingston, just wondering if I can pay the visa fee and schedule the interview before they receive the file.

But I clicked "yes" for that question because it asked have you ever had a US visa revoked or cancelled? His tourist visa was cancelled after he was denied entry, so I would think I would have to click "yes" for both of these questions. He had a valid tourist visa (it was issued on 10/2016) and a month later they denied him entry and cancelled his tourist visa because they thought he would try to stay and get married while using his tourist visa simply because he said he was coming to visit his sick uncle first in Florida and then flying from Florida to stay with his fiancé for the Thanksgiving holiday. Once they heard the word "fiancé" that was pretty much a wrap because the first checkpoint stamped his passport with no problem. It wasn't until after he got his bag from baggage claims and was handing them the declaration form is when they pulled him for additional questioning and denied him.

I would rather answer "yes" to both questions, than answer "no" for the first one because I don't want them to think we are trying to lie or hide anything. You think I should click "no" for the revoked/cancelled question?

No, I haven't received it yet, I just got approved last Wednesday (3/21). I'm gonna start calling the NVC tomorrow and every day after until I get the case#. You can't schedule the interview or pay any fees with the case# from the NVC. What you can do is start working on the DS-160 but don't e-sign and submit it until AFTER you get the case# from the NVC.

Was he at POE and denied entry?  If not the answer would be that he was not denied entry.  His visa was cancelled but that is not the same as being denied entry.  It is semantics but that is how I read it.  He was never denied entry because his visa was cancelled.

He was denied entry at POE while traveling with a valid tourist visa. CBO had cancelled the visa and sent him back home on the next flight back to Jamaica.

Adding note: I get what you're saying now...He was denied entry or "admission" into the US. But they told both of us that they would cancelling his tourist visa.

Were you option 5 or 7 group when calling?

I used 7.  The clue is if they have something is after giving the USCIS number they will start to  ask a lot of questions right away. Then if you answered correctly they will tell they have the case and eventual they assiged a number too.

Hello all.  Longtime lurker; first time poster!

NOA2 is dated 14 Mar 18.

NVC received 23 Mar 18.

NVC number received 26 Mar 18.

I have the website for Packet 3 and 4 for Thailand (https://th.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/packets/).  Does anyone have the website for the beneficiary to complete the online paperwork?  Or if you can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for everyone's assistance.

I think you would answer yes to both then.  It is certainly redundant but who are we to try and understand any of the stuff they put us through!

Hey, I called last Monday, and my case "wasn't there yet." Called again on Friday the 23rd, and my case was received AND had a number by the 22nd! I wouldn't be surprised if you had a case number today or tomorrow!

I JUST WANT IT TO AT LEAST SAY "In transit" DANG IT.

Hi everyone!  As of yesterday (March 26), our case was received at NVC!  The guy on the phone was so nice, he told me that they literally had JUST begun to enter our case into their system as we were speaking on the phone!  Yay!!!!!  He told me that I would get an email with further instructions.

His interview will be in Tunisia and from my understanding much of the needed info & the timeline is based on the country.  I haven't seen anyone else on here fro Tunisia.

My question is, what can I prepare/do while I wait for the email?  Can my fiance fill out the 160 and pay the fees before I get the email?  Can he schedule his medical appointment?

Thanks! :)
