Question...I'm filling out Reni's DS-160...for the question: "Have you made any specific travel plans?", did you click yes or no?

Clicked no and then it asked for an estimated date, filled in which is kinda realistic if everything goes smootly from now on.

Another question for you...where it's asking for U.S. Point of Contact information, I know I put my name but do I put "US Petitioner" or "other as Relationship to beneficiary?

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

I put US Petitioner. I am not at the interview stage so can't tell if all the answers are ok I filled out. Try to google or look in this forum, maybe somebody else will answer your question who already passed the interview stage. Don't want to give bad information.

I would say "no" and if they want to know why tell them to look at your timeline!  Just be honest, if you haven't already made plans just say that.  I believe we said no but we also gave an anticipated POE for May 2018.

Keep in mind that this is his application.  If you fill it out you have to state that at the end.  The questions are all directed to the beneficiary, not the petitioner.

Yea, I know that it is. We're actually doing it together with him on the phone, I just opted to fill it out because 1) the internet connection there is faulty and with this having our personal information saved and stored I don't feel comfortable having him fill this out on a possible "unsecured" connection, 2) Reni is not the most "computer savvy" person in the world and he would have to go to the internet café to have someone there help him. I don't feel comfortable having a 3rd party looking through our personal docs or information.

So, I'm gonna fill it out, save it, and when we are completely done and I've reviewed it MULTIPLE times (I'm OCD so I will be going over it with a fine tooth and comb), then he will go to the internet café and e-sign it and print out the confirmation page.

I filled it out for Rose and the kids for the same reasons.  At the end it asks if someone helped them, just say yes and there is a pulldown menu.  Select fiancee.  It is actually pretty straight forward once you get through one.  I did three and by the last one it was quick and easy.

The form itself is easy, it's just redundant. Like, you asked who the US Point of Contact is but then ask if you have immediate relatives and to select fiancé and have to fill out my information AGAIN!!!

Then the question, "have you ever had a US visa cancelled or revoked" and then I click yes and the box opens for us to type in an explanation. Then the very next question they ask is "have you ever been denied entry or admission into the US", for us to click yes, and the another box opens for us to type in an explanation. I just gave you an explanation...but you want me to repeat myself AGAIN!!! SMH...I just copied and pasted the same explanation in both boxes.

USCIS took all my patience away that now I have to find some more patience. But I'm better now..2nd cup of coffee is starting to kick in!!!

Check today.  Our case was received and had the number assigned later the same day.  4 days later it was on the way to the Embassy.  Hold onto your hat...this can go very fast.

Hi! I got my NVC number last March 23 and until now it’s still an NVC. Would you suggest I do the DS-160 already, pay for the visa fee and set the interview schedule already? Or I should wait for it to be “ready”?

Thanks!

For the Philippines you can rock & roll once you get the number.  Fill out the DS-160 and pay the fees.  Go and pre-register at SLEC and set the interview date.  Make it a couple weeks out so you know the petition will get there.  We got our number two days before you and we are already "In Transit".  No reason to wait.  Go get it set up!
