Ohh best case scanario is Stuart is here for his birthday on May 19th but that is probably pushing it a bit! I’d be happy if he could be here for 2 iof my kids graduating middle and high school at the beginning of June though,!!!! Fingers crossed for us all!!! @NICK & PAULA @Swissmiss82

Wow! My birthday is on May 15th but I don't think I could POE before that. I have to finish my working contract  which is ends on June 22 so I won't pay for breaching of contract. But I hope Stuart will be there on your kids' graduation because that would be a precious and important moment.

That is awesome news, John.

So I see that it says Immigrant Visa Case Number. Early on when we just started to fill out the I-129F I read somewhere that the K1 visa is a non-immigrant visa (NIV). I still see this in some places, but  then when I look at my embassy's website it is always with the Immigrant Visas (IV). This confuses me so much. Can anybody shed some light as to why in some instances it is a non-immigrant visa and in some instances an immigrant one? Or do I have it all wrong?

Technically the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa but it is treated like an immigrant visa because of the AOS. It is kind of a ba$tard. Non-immigrant treated like an immigrant. Other non-immigrant visas do not usually end up with green cards!  The K-1 on its own is a single entry, short time limit visa that expires 90 days after POE. That is why it is a non-immigrant visa treated like an immigrant visa.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

I just checked CEAC.  5 days after NVC receiving our file and giving us the MNL# we are already "In Transit"!  Damn.  This is unbelievably fast.  Our petition was only at NVC for 5 days including the day in and the day out!5ab99f57cc9b8_intransit.jpg.0e73a2eac7a624f6c9570d506dd63952.jpg

I am not expecting it to happen today but there it is! Wooohoooo!

And I realized that I tagged the wrong name! It should be @Swissmiss82 instead of @swissmiss2 !!! I am really sorry for accidentally tagging you. :(

It took 4 days for my case to be sent to the USEM here. Boy, that was fast!

You're next, both of you my sweetie pies!
