Yep. I’m trying to convince her. She says it is irregular but she doesn’t track it.  Downloading apps there is hit and miss since the signal is challenging.

I would then say it's up to you to download and keep track. Just saying. :D

I just checked CEAC.  5 days after NVC receiving our file and giving us the MNL# we are already "In Transit"!  Damn.  This is unbelievably fast.  Our petition was only at NVC for 5 days including the day in and the day out!5ab99f57cc9b8_intransit.jpg.0e73a2eac7a624f6c9570d506dd63952.jpg

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx - track your NVC case number in that link, dear! That's the only site where we can track the progress of our cases going to our respective embassies.

I hope I can POE in MAY or JUNE.

That is awesome news, John.

So I see that it says Immigrant Visa Case Number. Early on when we just started to fill out the I-129F I read somewhere that the K1 visa is a non-immigrant visa (NIV). I still see this in some places, but  then when I look at my embassy's website it is always with the Immigrant Visas (IV). This confuses me so much. Can anybody shed some light as to why in some instances it is a non-immigrant visa and in some instances an immigrant one? Or do I have it all wrong?

Same over here, NOA2 March 2nd, NVC received my case March 16th and STILL NO CASE NUMBER I am so, so so stressed, cried all weekend, all interviews in April in my country are gone by now and I hate this process

Me. NOA2 2/27, NVC received 3/16 and still no case number. I haven't seen anyone in the electronic group take over 7 days. I did see some people get their case number on the 8th day so the 6th business day from NVC receive date and I'm on the 6th business day. If I don't have it today I'm going to ask to speak to someone who can tell me what's going on with my case, if it's even been touched. It's going to be a month since NOA2 tomorrow!

10 hours ago, Mike129F said:

Nope, My NOA2 was Mar 3, I called every other day to NVC and just today they acknowledged they received the paperwork Friday. They gave me the spiel about 8 weeks blah blah blah blah. Meanwhile the already tenuous diplomatic relationship is further degrading and the 2 month+ embassy wait time is increasing.

So sorry to hear that you're also still waiting... I want to be happy for everyone else here but it's really unfair that they are assigning case numbers out of order. It's slightly easier to understand why USCIS approves cases out of order (due to different nature of every case, etc.) but for NVC there is really no excuse. Every time I ask them why my case doesn't have a number when others with later receive dates already have one, they just use the same robotic line, "I can't comment on other cases."

Meanwhile, my fiance and I are in Ankara because we thought we'd be able to have our medical interview this week. We're just going to head back to his hometown until we get the case number, whenever that is.

HI,

Any ideas about how many days after NOA2 gets approved to call NVC for the case number?

Noa1 9/21/17

Noa2 3/23/18

About 2 weeks although they will tell you in up to 8!! Don’t fret though, if you look around on here 14 days seems to be  the norm. Good luck!
