We call the NVC to ask for a case number, right? I have read somewhere that I also need to have a MNL# (in my own understanding its the Manila# 😅) is it different from NVC case number? I’m sorry if I have so many questions or if this question has already been asked.

NVC will give you your MNL number a.k.a NVC case number. Tell your petitioner to watch his email too because NVC might send your case number there. ^_^

Quick question!

Just reviewing what I need to send my fiancé for the interview.

Are bank statements required? Or is the letter from my employer and my w-2s and pay statements sufficient ?

Thanks in advance!

You need to send the completed I-134, with tax transcripts, w-2s, paystubs at least 6 months worth, employment verification letter and you can send your bank statements but most times that is not needed. Bank statements are used when you are trying to show you have enough saved up in case you are below the poverty line requirements or self-employed.

Other than that, bank statements really show your spending habits which has no privy to how you will be able to sponsor your fiancé.

So informed delivery just confirmed that my NOA2 hardcopy is coming today and that our approval date was actually March 21st and not the 22nd as the website says. So, I'm gonna start calling the NVC on Wednesday and then every day from there. I know Wednesday is probably a letter early as it would be 7 days from the date of my approval, but maybe God feels like me waiting a little over 10 months for our NOA2 is a long enough and may bless me with our case# early. :jest:

Woooohooooo! I am so glad that you're finally experiencing this phase. Hang tight because it'll get faster from here.

Got my case number today, but not sure how to track it's progress to the Embassy.

Were you on the option 5 or option 7 when you called NVC? Go to the CEAC website and input your case # under immigrant visa.

How you can see which interview dates are open? I tried to do it, but couldn't do, first it wants me to pay for the interview which I guess I can't because I need the NVC number for that?

Btw what is the order after receiving the NVC number?

1. Submit Ds-160

2. Pay visa fee, book interview

3. Do medical (they want interview confirmation letter)

4. Do interview

Or this is more country specific?

Me. NOA2 2/27, NVC received 3/16 and still no case number. I haven't seen anyone in the electronic group take over 7 days. I did see some people get their case number on the 8th day so the 6th business day from NVC receive date and I'm on the 6th business day. If I don't have it today I'm going to ask to speak to someone who can tell me what's going on with my case, if it's even been touched. It's going to be a month since NOA2 tomorrow!

You have to find someone that has already scheduled interview at your embassy and ask them to check in the system..
