March 2018 NOA2 ---> NVC thread

We have visa in hand today (could have picked it up on Tuesday, but we were out of town)! Below are all our CEAC/mailing status changes.

 

5/2 - interview approval / stayed on Immigrant Ready (same as before the interview but updated to this date)

5/3 (evening) - updated to Non Immigrant Application Ready (never saw an immigrant AP)

5/7 (~9am IST) - Non Immigrant AP

5/7 (~10:30am) - Issued

5/7 (~7pm) - PTT notification the passport  was sent

5/8 - notification to pick up passport at PTT location

5/10 - pickup at PTT 

 

My fiancé will be doing POE on or around 6/20 since he’s going to spend a few weeks with his family. 😄

yaaaaay so happy to read all the good news here! gosh i am so sorry i missed out on so many things, but happy to read that

so many of you moved to the next steps that just brightened up my day a lot more! 

 

there is a reason why i disappeared a little! my first 10 days here have been quiet busy with running around,

getting SSN, trying to open bank account (specifically trying, didn't work out yet), and of course: planning our small wedding for 2 that will

take place TOMORROW!!!! i will be officially a wifey!  it doesn't hit me just yet, probably when we wake up tomorrow haha

 

i can't believe how looong this journey was and how amazing it is to see all of us getting with our loved ones! this is just

worth every struggle we all felt! if someone is suffering right now, or feeling sad, low or something: i promise you it'll be the best feeling

once you land and get to hug your boo and can stay together!

 

alrighty - now let me get back to the errands... hope everyone is doing well and crossing fingers to read some more good news soon!

Received NAO2 March 10 waiting NVC to process my husband case , 

 

does any one know after the NVC processes his case how long after that will he gets his interview?

Just got home - a long long day. I’ve been out for 13 hours! Was extremely nervous traveling there. But the medical itself was quick & easy. All the doctors & nurses were so nice. No issues at all with my Medical! So when the results come back they’re being sent to the Embassy.  next step - interview!

We made about 10 folders and put them into a case I bought with sheet protectors and labeled everything lol I think we are good to go for his interview on Tuesday! Yep, myself & my mom went there pretty early so I could figure out where I needed to go and so I wasnt late! Our train was at 9AM, and we got home at 10:30 haha  

 

if everything goes to plan, and my interview goes well, we’re probably looking at late June / early July. My parents are going on holiday mid June and return around then, so I want to wait for them to come back before I leave!

I didn't move just yet, but I'll be leaving on the 24th, in less than two weeks!  I'm super excited and trying to get ready for a hot & humid summer with too much time on my hands haha. We've already made plans to go to IKEA my first weekend there though (I am a Swede after all), hopefully that'll help make me feel more like home.

i've got so much paperwork for the interview its unreal haha. i'm just awaiting a letter of intent from him as well as some kind of evidence for support. we're not sure what to use atm. he's messaged his employer asking if they can supply us with something.

we met through a game called runescape. he works for them, and we met for the first time at the convention in 2015. (way over a year after we first started dating!)

Yay,  WE ARE  VISA APPROVED. Consul never asked Affidavit of Support and Proof of relationship. Visa interview was so smooth and it took less than 5 minutes.

 

Now,  booking flight to Austin. Thanks to the people here who contributed so much informations.
