Less than a month - that’s nothing after this wait 😄 and probably time will go really fast because you’ll have so much to do with saying your goodbyes and packing etc. Good luck with everything! ☺️

I’m sure your medical went just fine sweetie ☺️ Keep us updated!

Just got home - a long long day. I’ve been out for 13 hours! Was extremely nervous traveling there. But the medical itself was quick & easy. All the doctors & nurses were so nice. No issues at all with my Medical! So when the results come back they’re being sent to the Embassy. :) next step - interview!

My fiancé and I spent the majority of this evening eating chocolate and organizing the documents. We made about 10 folders and put them into a case I bought with sheet protectors and labeled everything lol I think we are good to go for his interview on Tuesday! For now we are just going to do some splurging and I'm making myself a few custom dresses tomorrow lol :) good luck everyone! I'll pray until further notice lol

Oh wow, 13 hours! Happy everything went well! :) I see you're going to NY too, when are you planning to make the move over there?

Yep, myself & my mom went there pretty early so I could figure out where I needed to go and so I wasnt late! Our train was at 9AM, and we got home at 10:30 haha :mellow:

if everything goes to plan, and my interview goes well, we’re probably looking at late June / early July. My parents are going on holiday mid June and return around then, so I want to wait for them to come back before I leave!

Edit: just realized that you moved already!!!! Congrats!!! :jest:

I'm sure you'll have no problems with the interview. I was a nervous wreck but for no reason whatsoever, everyone was super nice and it all went smooth. Just bring the right docs of course :) How did you meet your fiancé?

I didn't move just yet, but I'll be leaving on the 24th, in less than two weeks! :jest: I'm super excited and trying to get ready for a hot & humid summer with too much time on my hands haha. We've already made plans to go to IKEA my first weekend there though (I am a Swede after all), hopefully that'll help make me feel more like home.

i've got so much paperwork for the interview its unreal haha. i'm just awaiting a letter of intent from him as well as some kind of evidence for support. we're not sure what to use atm. he's messaged his employer asking if they can supply us with something.

we met through a game called runescape. he works for them, and we met for the first time at the convention in 2015. (way over a year after we first started dating!)

ooooh my god that's so exciting :jest: i'm so happy for you! goodluck!!

hahaha, yeah, moving peak summer is gonna be crazy.

Sounds goood! Yes I brought a bunch of stuff too and most of it they didn't end up even wanting :) For the letter of intent we filled out a draft, and then he asked the head of HR to sign it and print it on the company letterhead. Here's the draft we used, it has all the required info as per the I-134 instructions:

<today’s date>

American Consulate General, <place name>

<consulate address>

Re: Employment Verification for <sponsor’s name>

Dear Sir or Madam:

This letter is to confirm that <sponsor’s name> is employed with us since <employment start date> on full time basis as <designation>. His annual salary is <annual salary>/year.

Please feel free to contact us if your office should require any further information.

Sincerely,

<authorized person’s signature>

<authorized person’s name>

<authorized person’s designation>

<company name>

And cool, I've heard of plenty of couples that met through games. That's sweet :) Must feel great to finally be able to be together!

ooooooh that helps so much!!! thank you!!! i really appreciate it. gonna send it over to my fiancé ^_^

yeah seems more common now! haha, crazy!
