Thank you so much!! Things are moving really quickly now. In retrospect, I was freaking out a bit too much the past month before getting a case number 😂Where are you at in the process now?

My fiance had his medical exam in Oslo today! It was easy and painless, but he has to wait a few days to get the results back. There are interview appointments available at the Swedish consulate in less than a week!!!

Things really are moving quickly for you! I wish things could be as quick for the UK... But still, I'm just happy to be finally nearing the end of this K-1 stage.

Hey guys, called NVC today and was told they received my case yesterday. I am in the electronic cases group (had to call back and press option 5), they told me it would take up to 8 weeks. Really hoping it doesn't take that long! Oh and they also told me that that was decided according to embassy, so a majority of embassies have switched to the electronic process and the cases going to those embassies are being processed electronically. So for the others on this forum applying to the US embassy in Turkey I'm guessing your cases will be electronic as well.

Oo I'll go! My fiance and I met last summer at a hostel in Turkey where he was a manager and I was a volunteer. We instantly connected and after sharing lots of tea together, flirting, etc. we ended up leaving his town to travel around Turkey for two months. We filed for the K-1 only one month after we met. We're together in Serbia now (I work remotely to support us) and we're heading back to Turkey on Sunday to see his family before the interview.

I never thought I'd marry a guy so quickly but when you know, you know! Count me in the hopeless romantic camp

Awww that's so nice that you guys are together through this process and what foresight to apply early!

Haha I ALSO met my fiance in a Turkish hostel. I was a guest and he was the bartender.  Took 6 months for me to go back and for us to be "officially" bf/gf (our 2 year anniversary is in 8 days) and we've gone to Albania, Morocco and Mexico together. Assuming he's in the U.S. in August, we'll be getting married exactly 3 years from meeting.

It def won't be 8 weeks. :) I woke up this morning to two emails from NVC sent at 6:16am PT. One with our case number and one saying our case was expedited (as I understand it this is standard language for anyone in the option 5 group). Our case is in transit to Ankara already!

NOA2: 3/1

USCIA sent: 3/7

NVC received: 3/14

NVC #: 3/21

In transit: 3/21

I believe our lawyer submitted a G-1145 (e-notification form) along with our original application since the emails went to both him and me. I did sign up for the email/text notifications from USCIS, not sure if those are then given to NVC as well.

Thanks, I had no idea that flowed into the NVC process :) I didn't get any electronic notifications of my K1 besides NOA1 so I'm probably one of those folks who isn't getting those despite sending in the form... wooo!

Can I ask what's the subject of the NVC email? I want to create a filter in my email so that I definitely don't miss it if that comes through. :D

"Notice regarding your immigration visa case" and "Immigration visa case has been expedited"

Both came from National_Visa_Center@state.gov

I didn't get one for my NOA1 or NOA2, but did for our RFE. I think that has more to do with USCIS than the system. :)

Sure you are....(wink wink).  Now we know how you met your fiancé!

I have to assume that dealing with 5 year olds all day gives you the patience to handle USCIS!
