@Swissmiss82

Quick question regarding this.  Did you do this before getting married or after?

before, i entered 2 days ago and had them wait 24 hours basically.

the sooner the better.

i'll have to get back again of course once i am married and change my last name, but at least i'm in the system now

and can start everything i want/need here.

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

We got approved too! Or I don’t want to jinx it until the website is updated, but the lady said my interview ”obviously” went well. And that I would get my passport back in 10 working days.

I went straight back to work and my fiancé is not awake yet and I still can’t really believe it!

So,so, so happy for you lady!!! It’s been a good day for all of us!!

I bet you guys are on cloud 9!  And that’s so awesome that he’ll be there in just a month!  Woohoo!  My fiancé had his medical today and his interview is in a few weeks.  We’re hoping he can be home by mid June!  :D   I’m so ready for this whole process to be over already but being able to celebrate with everyone who finally crosses that finish line sure does make the constant waiting more bearable.  Btw, how is your mommy doing?  She’s been in my prayers.  I’m sure she’ll be excited by this news as well. :)

Guys, what’s the photo requirement for embassy interview. It just says on appointment letter to get 2x2. Is it matte or glossy? Is it recent photo or can I use the one I used to file for I-129F petition?

glossy! I got mine done at the photographer. I think you can use the same one if you didnt change at all.

A little bit of an update here, I did my exams last week and my medical yesterday, everything went well and quick. It took me around 2 hours and a half going around the exam places and 15 minutes in the doctor office. My interview will be on may 30th, everything is ready to go!

I was wondering, do they ask for a copy of the hole packed you are taking, like all the documents and evidences? (To the interview). And I saw that some people took a lot of things that weren't in the list that they ask just to be safe, is that necessary? I don't even know what else could I bring. And for what I remember from the tourist visa, they check your papers first and they kinda select just what's in the list. Buuuuut as this process is a box of surprises, I just wanna do the best I can do to have a smooth approval! :wub:
