My dear berries, a quick question for you all.

in noa2, above my name (beneficiary) it shows a number starting with A. I believe that’s my alien number, correct? If yes, then do we fill that out in I-134 affidavit form or any other place that it asks for it or leave it as it is?

@Greenbaum @Naes @h&y @LizM @Amit&Julie @IndiaAnnie or any others who could answer that?

Yes that’s the alien number.

you can either fill or leave it blank it doesn’t really matter :)

@Naes gotcha! Thanks! I left it as blank but wasn’t sure if had to be filled. And it reminds me, where are you with your process?

also, @Greenbaum I remember you mentioning once about wedding plans to either mention or not mention. My fiancé and I jsut and jsut have a date and venue in mind and set. Nothing else is planned or fixed. Sooo if CO asks about it, what’s the best to go about it? Say the same to them or be mum about it? I forgot what you had mentioned about it the last time.

With respect explain to your CO that you have had conversations with him but since we haven't been approved yet we are waiting to make any definitive plans. We do understand that we must marry within 90 days of entering the US. Then smile.

I’m “at NVC”

we are the same we have a date and venue. (But this is just my opinion) If they ask I will say we have a date and venue but as we are not approved yet, we didn’t confirmed anything yet.

@Naes Gotcha! When are you guys planning the wedding? And Thanks! You’re right there too :) .... I initially had June 29 appointment but all of a sudden an open slot was found on May 11. So I’m like all over the place. I think I just had my 2000 grey hair pop up since this process started 😂

@Greenbaum that statement sounded such a dialogue out of Hollywood movie especially the “smile part” :D

Hey Guys,

My fiancee has scheduled her interview. I had submitted 2 expedite requests to USCIS before the I-129f was approved that got declined. Do these requests get sent with the case to the embassy? I don't want them to create any problems for her.

They won’t cause any problems.

Being turn down for an expedited case has no effect on the upcoming interview.

@Amit M  Hi, you mentioned about having set a date/venue in mind for your wedding. Is this in USA or India ? Do you plan to have any kind of ceremony in India before going to USA ? Don't mind my asking please.

BTW congrats !!

Thank you! And nope don’t mind you asking. Feel free to ask anything.

and to answer your question: everything is and needs to happen in US. Nothing should be done in Beneficiary’s country. If you’re good at keeping secret then you can (I’d recommend not) but the whole purpose of K-1 is being single and intending to get married to US citizen after entering US soil. And nope, I’m Not doing any ceremonies since my fiancé is in US and we don’t plan on her being here plus we don’t want to. We ain’t really doing the typical Indian way of celebration.

Aww, I'm sure he can get it done!  You've come so far, you got this!

Thank you, I have a question for you, are you going to get dual citizen ship? Ghana is an amazing country I actually wanted to become a citizen there, but its just as hard there as it is here. Especially without marrying in the country. Have you learned twi or looking to learn it. Are you the petitioner?

Love knows no reason,no boundaries,no distance .It has a sole intention of bringing people together to a time called FOREVER!!!!!!!!

Hi my Septemberries and March filers (March Madness!).

We have FINALLY been able to schedule an interview for June 26.  There is much confusion over whether you need to wait until the embassy sends the Packet 3 before you schedule, but since some couples never received it, we decided to go for it once the date opened up.  It will have been over 3 months since NOA2, so hopefully that's enough time!  At least we can now start the medical appointments.

Awesome, thats the same way with my country. There is no packet three to wait for and if you wait you'll be waiting forever. Good luck and keep us updated on your journey

I’m the petitioner - I’d love dual citizenship, but it’s low on the to-do list for now. You can do a lot in Ghana as a foreigner, especially as an African diasporan. My Twi is coming along kakra kakra (small small), haha. I’ve gotten a few audio lessons and do what I can with apps and things. My goal would be to practice daily to help retain it, but life gets in the way! What about you, are you learning your fiancé’s language?

Thanks! Yes and it seems like the recently approved GH couples have all had slightly different processes from each other so we figured we just have to go for it and see what happens hahaha. TIA!
