I am just starting to look at the AOS fees.  Now that we are moving forward I will be going over to the AOS forums but I just wanted to ask this here as I am just starting on the AOS portion.  Am I looking at about $3000 each for the AOS/EAD/AP fees?

I see $1225 for the 485, $575 for the 130, $575 for the AP and $535 for the EAD.  Is this right or am I missing something?

You can file the EAD and AP for free if you submit it with the i-485. So for AoS with those two forms as well will only come to $1225

Reni got a call from the medical clinic asking him to come back up tomorrow morning at 10am with $3000JM ($25.00 USD) so they can go over his medical exam with him and send ot over to the embassy. They didn't tell him what or why he needed the money. And of course I arrive at the same time as he wil be in Kingston so I won't be able to go with him and will have to wait at his mom's until he comes back.

I'm trying not to think negative but with all that's happened thus far thats hard to do. I'm thinking that since we called them yesterday to see about them getting his medical exam to the embassy before his interview that they must have realized he's missing an immunization shot and that's it because they said they will send the medical exam directly over to the embassy afterwards.

But I don't want to think that there could be anything else that would hinder him from getting approved on Friday.

Am I worrying for nothing guys?

Yes you are worrying about nothing.  The first thing that came to my mind was they found some little bacterial infection or something that they need to give him another shot for.  That explains the 3000JM and the return to discuss medical.  The same thing happened to AJ (Rose's son).  He had an ear infection that wasn't bothering him but they found it in the blood.  He had to get an extra shot that we paid for (other shots are included in the medical fee in Manila).

It is just a minor thing and will not impact the timeline.

That's awesome! What part?

when I met my fiancé we spent 6 months traveling to all of the major cities. I'm in love with Morocco. I told my fiancé I'd like to retire there !  And yes go get a massage or something. I just happen to be flying in and I know I can't sit there and bite my nails for 3 hours.

We got engaged in Casablanca on the first night then toured around for about 2 weeks to Rabat, Marrakesh, Essaouira, Ouarzazate and the Sahara. :)

I'm leaving for Turkey on Thursday (along with my parents) to be there for the interview on 5/2 and we'll be there for 2.5 weeks. Hopefully celebrating!

I think it could also be a vaccination they didn't give him. What triggered all of this was yesterday I had Reni call the medical clinic to find out if his medical exam would be a the embassy by Friday and they said while normally it take 2 weeks they would start preparing it and make sure to get it there by Thursday. So, I think they started to prepare his medical report so they could get there today or tomorrow and realize his missing a vaccination. Because when he went to his medical last week, the doctor gave him a vaccination that he said they told him he would need the 2nd round of this particular shot within 14 days but it wouldn't hold him up at the interview. $3000 JMD is $25.00 USD so, it's possible they want to give him this shot before the interview. They said that they will send his medical exam right over to the embassy after they are done with him tomorrow.

Ironically, I land in Montego Bay at 10am and he will be on the other side of the island in Kingston at the same time which sucks because I look forward to seeing his smiling face when I walk out of the airport. But his best friend will be picking me up and taking me to his mom's house for me to wait for him to come back. I feel bad because the ride is 3-4 hours one way and we will have to head back in that direction on Friday for the interview.

I'm just hoping whatever it is, it will not delay them getting it to the embassy and the embassy will get it in enough time to review and that it will not hinder him from getting approved.

A few questions on the I-134:

Do i need to fill any other asset information besides salary if my salary exceeds the requirement?

Can I leave the life insurance info blank? I know that I do have it through my company but don't know the exact amount.

In the instructions it says to put N/A. The example I-134's that I have seen put "None" in the last name section of the part where it tells you to do that, but then leave everything else that doesn't apply blank.

How should I be filling it out? Blank, None, or N/A?

Thanks

we only put n/a on the last name too

you should just use whatever applies

sometimes it is a n/a sometimes it is none.

Thanks
