I am praying everything works out for you guys and you get it in time to fly back together.

Thanks...but I've decided to leave things the way they are. If it's not there on Friday, I'll be there for over a week which should be enough time to have received it and have the visa packet issued. We'll just have to stay on top of things with the medical clinic in making sure they sent it. We've waited this long, I just need to hear VISA APPROVED. I'm not worried about his medical turning up anything because he just had a physical 3 months prior. So the rest of this we will rely on God.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

You will hear those two magical words, and when you do the world  will stop rotating for a short second and all this waiting and stress will well worth it.  I'm keeping you both in my prayers and looking forward to celebrating with you on Friday.

My fiance is filling out the ds-160 and it asks for intended date of travel what do we put? Also if it asks if we made specific plans do we select No? Thanks

Guess at a date in the future that you think you will finish and receive your visa. Answer No to specific plans as you have none because you do no have an approved visa. Here is a guide you can use to complete the ds-160 from. https://photos.state.gov/libraries/jamaica/231771/PDFs/DS-160 Instructions.pdf

Hey Guys,

Got packet 4 after emailing them.

My fiancee took her passport pics. I know they want white. It's slightly gray. Would this background be an issue?

I have no idea if I'm looking too much into this. Feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Your background is fine. Go with it.

I have a question. How is it that you have settled on leaving together just days after her interview? Is Jamaica that fast in issuing visa's? I'm just curious.

As long as the medical is at the embassy and the USC is present for the interview, they can extend the courtesy of expediting the visa packet to allow the beneficiary fly back with the USC but this is at the discretion (or mood) of the embassy officer. Typically they get it issued out 3 days after the interview and gets to the DHL location like 2-3 business days after.

That's very convenient for you guys. Most Embassy's take 2 weeks to turn it around. Good luck on the interview and safe travels.

It varies. The standard is 5-7 business days from interview to VOH. But it can take 2 weeks but that is based on all docs or medical exam not being available at the time of the interview. But as long as everything is ready and available, it takes 5-7 business days but at times when the USC is present, they try to accommodate by letting us come back to the embassy to pick it up.

Need just a quick moment to vent frustration.

So, spoke with someone today at the NVC, and they said everything has been reviewed and it is ready to send at any moment.  That was 5 hours ago.  We're feeling frustrated, even though we know this is the faster part of the process.  How long can it possibly take to send it electronically...

Ok, all done.  Back to impatiently waiting, and checking the case status every 5 minutes.

10/03/2017 I-129F sent

10/05/2017 - I-129F delivered

10/10/2017 - NOA1

03/29/2018 - NOA2

04/17/2018 NVC case received

04/19/2018 - NVC case number assigned

05/16/2018 - In Transit to Consulate

05/18/2018 - Ready at Consulate

06/18/2018 - Medical

07/03/2018 - Interview

07/19/2018 - VOH

07/27/2018 - POE
