Hello there marchlings!

I'm requesting for some advice, and would love to hear your thoughts!

Summary: I have received my NVC case number last week. Our case's status is still at the "in transit" stage.

As of right now, I am waiting for the following documents:

- My fiancé's documents (expected to receive next week)

- My patient summary

Which isn't bad? But unfortunately, my GP is being a pain in the butt with the patient summary request... They assured me that I would be contacted within the week of my request, yet they haven't made a single attempt - it's now been 3 weeks! I've been contacting them, but it's just the usual "A doctor will contact you, blah blah" - yeah, my health centre is filled with grumpy slow cows.

Fortunately! I do plan to pay a visit to my doctor directly this week - hopefully they can give me some kind of update...

My question: Our case is currently "in transit", but I'm not sure whether I should take any action now (i.e. DS 160 form, medical exam, and etc.), or wait until I have that dumb document in my hand...

Any suggestions?

Personally i suggest you get started on your ds160 and medical as the medical takes about 3-4 days and has to be an embassy approved doctor. Im also still in transit since the 10th and my fiance will be finished with medical on the 27th hopefully it says ready by then so we can schedule our interview but its better to get a start on things unless your not in a hurry

Hey Guys,

Got packet 4 after emailing them.

My fiancee took her passport pics. I know they want white. It's slightly gray. Would this background be an issue?

I have no idea if I'm looking too much into this. Feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

His medical was on  April 4th and his interview was on April 16th.  They had his medical at the time of the interview.  He did mentioned that initially they said they didn't have it but they came back moments later and said they did.

The only reason why I asked you is because we just called Andrews and they said they will do their best to have his medical there by Thursday which is the day before his interview. They told him to call back on Thursday to see if they sent it over to the Embassy. When scheduled his interview, the May calendar was not open and they only had April dates available, but now that we are at the end of the month, May is available. Technically. May 2nd would be 2 weeks from his medical exam (his medical exam was on April 18th), even though, Andrews scheduled his medical exam 9 days before the interview (which is why I don't like the process that they want us to schedule the interview first and let Andrews give us a date based off of the interview date).

I was thinking of rescheduling his interview to May 1st or 3rd, but Reni said to just keep it the way it is and hope that that the medical is there before and if not we will have to wait until they get it and just keep calling Andrews to make sure that they sent it and call the Embassy to make sure they received it. I will be there from April 25th - May 6 (or the 9th which is the latest I will stay) because I would like for us to fly back together of course. I just don't want to second case myself, nor do I want to sit in AP status forever either.

We have similar timeline from the medical to the interview date, but I had one extra day because our interview was on the Monday.  I would reschedule for May 1st just to ensure, that you don't end up in AP.

This is all so nerve racking,  hopefully you can reschedule.

We are still waiting to hear from DHL... (yep I booked a flight for the 27th, crazy I know).

I was thinking the April 30th or May 1st because this way with the medical being there, I can ask them if can fly out with me in hopes I get a nice officer who will say yes, and have us come back to pick it up from the Embassy so we can fly out on May 6th together.

The calendar is open to allow me to reschedule and I would have to just email the embassy updating them that we re-scheduled. I already paid for my flight to leave this Wednesday so I'm not gonna change that. But you may be right on pushing it to May 1st.
