Depends on your embassy. Ready = schedule your interview. For instance, when my case was ready I e-mailed my embassy for an appointment and they e-mailed me back with my appointment + package 3 attached to the e-mail.

Thank you so much! I’m from China. I phoned them and it seems like they hasn’t get my case yet. Let me wait for a few weeks. But I read most infos here, it seems like as soon as it gets ready, Then can make appointment for the interview.

I can tell you that P3 for GUZ is only 4 line items

1. DS-160 Confirmation Page

2. Copy of Passport Personal Page

3. 2 Passport style photos White Background, Well Lit, 50mm x 50mm

4. Return the P3 instructions page

#4 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents before you are able to schedule and interview.

On completing the DS-160 and to answer a question where you have run out of room then move down to Item 7 and begin adding the information at 3a. Page # then 3b Part # and then 3c Item # as well as 3d where you add your additional information. Next question that you have more information then will fit the answer space then start at 4a and so forth.

Guys, is there a problem if medical is done 1 month before interview? I already started my medical (went to the med appointment, did x-rays and all vaccinations) and just need to bring the results to the Dr. for him to proceed with it however I'm flying soon to spent 3 weeks with my fiance and was hoping for an early June Interview. Not so sure if having the medical done 1 month prior to the interview will jeopardize anything. Thanks for your inputs!

Hi this is my first time posting ever i just wanted to ask im filing for my fiance in Pakistan and my NVC status says ready but I wasn't sure if they mail out packet 3 and was wondering if someone could help me out. After he fills out his ds-160 could we go ahead and schedule the interview or do we have to wait for the packet? Thanks

I don't have an answer for you. Try going up to portals on the top of this page and select your Embassy.

It can be a problem. Your visa expiry date is most times tied to your medical date and the validity is only 6 months. So by delaying you lose whatever that time is on the ticking clock. You must be on US soil before it expires or you will start over.

Guys, just want to verify one thing.

Just wondering that when we fill out DS-160 form, it asks a question if have visited US and to list all visits to US? If we have multiple times on a different visa: Do we mention visits to US when we flew in and out each time? Or do we just put one overall visit (number of years/months) to US from the first time we went until the last time we exited from there? Make sense?

I read somewhere online that we only need to mention last 5 visits. Is that true?
