quick question guys!

For my medical it states "if you have any significant/ ongoing/ previous medical conditions please bring a report from your GP regarding this; including , medication, prognosis, management etc"

I had ACL reconstruction in my knee 3 years ago, got discharged straight away after physio same around 3 years ago and no problems since and no medication etc . Do I need to get this in a letter for my GP?

Your ACL reconstruction was a surgical procedure which would be an isolated (one time) thing. The medical is asking for any ongoing, and/or previous medical conditions which would be something you are taking medication for currently or were taking medication for a long period of time in the past for a "condition", for ex. diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc.

For your surgical procedure, you were only on medication temporarily so that would not count.

you guys should move to Philly - its like New York only cheaper and prettier !! and close to the beach still.  We go to Bethany in Delaware in the summer and its only a few hours drive! @Trinab80 and @Michelle M

That sounds like a good idea, I will definitely look into it, because he doesn't want to stay in NYC. :(

I know some people were interested in Disney / Universal weddings so I found this out today.

originally we were set to get married on my mother's property because she's on the water but then I was like you know, I just don't know if that's what we truly want. So we found a wedding officiant in orlando, Florida for 275$ (marriage license included ..) who will do our vows outside of Hogwarts at Wizarding World of Harry Potter !!! I called Universal and they said that it's absolutely fine to do our vows as long as we aren't blocking traffic or causing a scene. This is much more "us". :) we are super happy and praying even more now he passes his interview so I can move forward with the booking!

Wow.. that sounds so fun and romantic

I have a question for those who have completed the process, has anyone actually scheduled the medical and interview after getting their case number before it actually got the beneficiary's embassy? If so, what was the outcome? Where there issues?

The embassy in Jamaica does not allow you to pay the visa fee until it shows "READY".  You will then need to pay the visa fee and schedule the interview before you can schedule the medical.

Hopefully this helps.

This site lists all the instructions. We have access to everything that is required. I don't see why we would need to wait for the packet from the NVC to tell us what we already know. Is the packet 3 more along the lines of what paperwork we need for the interview?

I appreciate you gals too!!!!!! and I don't appreciate many :jest: Just joking.. :) but I know.. I've lost hope 100x already. I almost canceled and moved to Morocco. But, in the end - we are good! Where are you at in the stage? In transit still!?

Yes we are still in limbo (transit) but the good news is he is still doing his medical and he has already saw the first doctor and Monday he  will be going to see the second for his x-rays and vaccinations. He will pay the DS-160 fee next week and it takes two days for the calendar to open up so I'm hoping we are in ready status by then. I was thinking maybe they receive them already when there in transit and they just want to read up and get prepared idk lol made sense. I've been speaking to a woman who's fiance recently had his interview and she has been helping me a lot, with advice and the next steps to take. She was approved but he's now in AP because he didn't go with his medical which im trying to avoid so we are doing the medical first. Once that's in his hands we can pay the ds fee and schedule the interview and hopefully if the Embassy Gods allow it we will be in ready.

that's awesome!

i tried to find a few people from morocco who were going through the same process but it seems that not a lot of people are actually doing the k1 this time of year from morocco. either that, or they're just not on here. i did find a couple from a year or so ago who have been super helpful in the process. i went to the store last night and bought a bunch of stuff to organize the papers that i sent my fiance. i'm bringing them with me because surprisingly, little things like this are expensive there. not sure why! I asked my fiance to do his medical sooner but the doctor said no it's too soon. I just get nervous with doing it just a week before, but i guess they know what they're doing at the end of the day! i'll be in a hotel just down the road waiting for him to come out of the interview. i really may pass out at that point

Omg im so jelly you get to go be with him during his interview. Thats amazing just to be able to say your there at his interview will score extra points for sure. Ive thought about going to financially i cant or i wont either way i need to reserve money at this point. I wish you all the best.
