I actually called up Rele clinic in Mumbai just today to ask the same. They told me medical can be done 10 to 15 days before the interview.

and btw why are you travelling to Mumbai for medical? did you check the list of hospital to see if anything else is near to you? where do you live?

I live in Delhi and considering only 4 locations in india can do medical for this K-1, I have to travel to Mumbai. Might as well go to Mumbai instead of gujarat. It sucks cuz the New Delhi embassy is 30mins awayfrom my house and now I have to travel this far to get visa and medical too and cuz of medical I might have to travel twice, unless I’m missing soemthing and someone has a better plan. Where do you live?

So, just now I received an email from the NVC with the letter attached stating my case was forwarded over to the Kingston, Jamaica Embassy and to apply and prepare for the interview....SMH.

I guess the NVC calls themselves been "eco-friendly" and not mailing the letter. If I would have waited on them to get confirmation, Reni's interview and medical wouldn't have been scheduled until mid-late May!!!! They are over a week late sending me this! <_<

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

Yes that make sense. But plan it so that you are in Mumbai for 2 to 3 days so you can collect the report and go.

It sucks that you cant do the interview in Delhi.

This is your best option, but if your medical and interview are aligned close to each other then try to finish off everything and go.

and after the interview I guess there is also an option of sending your passport back to your home address instead of you collecting it personally. They charge 500 Rs for that.

Go for it cause it can take up to 10 days to get the passport back after the interview.

I actually live in Mumbai so thank god i dont have to go through all this.

If you need any help when you are in Mumbai hit me up! :)

Have your fiancée complete the DS-160, then pay the visa fee and schedule your medical.

I noticed in your timeline your interview is on Monday. If I'm not on here before then, just want to say good luck and prayers sent your way!!!!

I look forward to hearing (or reading) your embassy response. We go the following week (April 27th), so at least I have your experience to read as our blueprint! :D

Just checked my status and it says ready😊, now what next?👀

Go to: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv/information/iv_overview - first you have to create a profile. If you haven't done so already, the beneficiary needs to complete the DS-160, upload a passport pic, e-sign and submit it. MAKE SURE TO PRINT A COPY OF THE CONFIRMATION PAGE - YOU WILL NEED IT FOR THE MEDICAL AND INTERVIEW (I would recommend printing at least 2 copies just to have a spare or even more). If you (the beneficiary) do not have the confirmation page with you during the medical exam and interview you will not be able complete the medical or interview.

After you are done with the DS-160 and creating your profile the website approve, follow the steps to schedule your interview (interview has to be scheduled first before the medical exam - only required for Jamaica). After you paid the visa fee, and scheduled the interview, make sure to print the interview confirmation as you will also need this to take with you to the medical exam and interview. If the interview date is too close for you to get everything completed, email the embassy to change the date. Keep in mind the calendar gets filled up fast and your interview has to be at least 10 before the medical exam. If you have an immunization card/record, bring that with you so that they know what vaccines/shots to give or not give. If you don't have it, that's fine, just be prepared to pay for all the required vaccines during the medical exam.

Once you have done this, go to http://www.andrewsmemorialhospital.com/ - and click on U.S. Medical Exam to schedule your medical exam. They will ask you for your interview date. Fill out the form online and submit. St. Andrews will send an email with your medical exam appointment date and time (they will schedule it based on your interview date at least 7-10 before). If you feel like you don't have enough time between the interview date and medical, you will have to call them to change the date; however, remember that your medical exam has to be completed at least 10 days before your interview so if you change the medical exam and it's not 10 prior to the interview date, you will have to change the interview date (see above)

You (the beneficiary) have to apply for your police record at your local police/government building (typically you can go to the one in Montego Bay - http://www.mns.gov.jm/content/how-obtain-police-record). You have to get the certificate of non-impediment at the RGD building in Montego Bay. The fast you want these forms the more expensive it cost. You have to have an original and certified copy of your Birth Certificate. You have to have your passport which is not due to expire at least 6 months.

The petitioner (US Citizen) must provide a complete  I-134 along with supporting financial documents since they will be sponsoring you - you can go to the USCIS.gov to get that information.

Letters of Intent must be updated and signed with a closer date to the interview on the letter. And you must have updated proof of ongoing relationship.

Try going to your Embassy's website and see what they tell you to do next. Each Embassy is different so someone here from India is not going to be able to tell you what do at your Embassy. If you go back about 10 to 15 Tabs I have outlined some of the generic things you can do that will help prepare you for the upcoming P3 from your Embassy. I have left links to different places within VJ that you should be familiar with to help you on the "now what's next"!

For instance get a copy of the DS-160 printed off and you and your fiance start answering the questions together. Once completed and when you receive your P3 you'll be able to go online and complete it with no errors, stress or cussing.

Woah, I really really like the dress! It's so clean, if that's the right word, it feels timeless. Maybe I got some new inspiration now :)

Yep DS-160 is a bit time-consuming, I triple checked too. Hoping I got everything right. Also saw your mom's getting better - that makes me very happy to hear!

Yay I see you have your medical scheduled now! You're catching up, and quickly too! By the way, have you ever noticed the never-ending Sweden-Switzerland mixup? Or maybe it only happens one way ("Hi I'm from Sweden", "OH hi, I love Swiss cheese!).

When Spotify IPOed recently in New York, NYSE raised which flag? Not the Swedish one, not at first at least. Such a disgrace for our country :( I would curse in Schweizerdeutsch if I could but unfortunately, I do not know that language.

oooh @Thelucybelle i think you'll look stunning! wowzer!!! :)

and @LizM yeah it was time to catch up after this almost full month of wait after approval.
