I wonder why the email says that the request for our case to be expedited got approved though? We never asked for it to be expedited lol. not that I'm complaining.

Yippeeee!!!!! I like the idea of our visa’s holding hands and going off in transit together in an excited sort of way!!! And then waving as mine goes off to London and yours to, wait! where is your consulate?? Zurich??? Anyway we can cross the finish line together!!!

BTW I’m a little giddy as my mama just opened her eyes for the first time!!!

oooh great news about your mama! so happy to hear that <3 better than anything else <3

yessss! i just saw it's in transit today so i'm on cloud 9! i can't even tell!

what's even better - one after another seems to work out for us since we got our case number.

found my dress for the small wedding after poe, ordered invites for the big wedd, booked the wedd venue for october and so on!

and on top i went to the hairdresser today and she made me a blonde again hahaha

i can't stop smiling! and now with your good news i'm really flying high :)

oh and consulate is bern, that's not too bad. we are really hoping that the embassy will send me packet 3 friday or monday, the

medical is tuesday so they can hopefully give me a date at embassy in the next few weeks!

lucky that the swiss embassy isn't so busy, so i may sneak an appt in the next 2 weeks :o

Hey guys, just wanted some advice on what I should prepare. Online approval for NOA2 said March 29th but physical said 28th. I am still waiting on NVC to receive my approved case. My fiancee is in Algeria (embassy in Algiers, Algeria).

- Can I expedite the NVC process after it has been received? Normally not but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask. The other thing is that you can keep looking at the schedule and see if any closer dates open but from what I read below, you still have lots to contend with just to get to the interview now on time.

/

We checked their website -  https://dz.usembassy.gov

My fiancee needed to get 15 vaccinations (10 of 15 already done), 2 need to be done in Algiers but she lives far away.

- Is it possible to do them during the medical check so she can save a trip?  Call the place where her medical is going to be completed.

- Why does the interview need to be two weeks after, can we schedule before? It takes that long for the file to be closed at the medical facility with write up and then sent over to the Embassy and prepared for your interview. Things take time.

They say she needs to pay for the interview at an Aramex office (all far) and that's where she will have to pick up her passport about 10 days after the visa is approved.

- The office is in Algiers, is there anyway she can just pick it up sooner at the embassy? Call the Embassy and ask. Are there any instructions for alternative places to pickup the passport in the Packet 3 instructions?

- Would it help if I flew out to be with her during the interview? I can't stay longer than a week and would want her to come back with me so the 10 days would be a real issue.  It would be well received by her if you did. This is a very daunting task for her I am sure.

- Would it help if I booked her flight before the interview so they know she is planning to travel 2 weeks or so after approval?  The Embassy highly recommends you not book travel arrangements ahead of you receiving your visa in hand. I recommend it to. I have seen delays that have cost time and money to others who purchased tickets and something went wrong with the process.

I have filled out the DS-160 and I-134 (neither submitted yet)

- When should I have my fiancee submit the DS-160? Any time between now and the interview. I you are ready why not get off your plate and submitt it today?

- I am salaried at around 50K but I started working in July of 2017 (when I graduated), will the amount of time I have been working be an issue? No baring whatsoever Should I get a sponsor? No because you meet or exceed the poverty level for your family size. Be sure to check here: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf (ignore that it says I-864 as this is the document that they use to compare your financial income to)

- Can I send my fiancee a copy of the signed form as the mail system over there is unreliable? You can send everything to her via email and she can print there EXCEPT the signature page on the I-134 which requires a "WET" signature.

- What should I provide a copy of? Everything required in the Packet 3 letter from the Embassy for the interview.

- What should I mail her the original of? I-134

- What else do we need? Luck ;)

Sorry if this is too many questions. I know some of the answers, just want to double check.

Thanks for the help guys!

Hi,

I would like to ask, if you receive the NVC letter thru mail or email? My fiance called NVC and they gave him the MNL number, I already paid the visa fee, medical will be next week and interview will be on april 23. I read that there is an nvc letter but he hasn’t received it yet.

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov

I highly recommend you email NVC for the MNL #, even if you call to get it, this will give you a correspondence (sooner than the letter arriving) from NVC with the MNL # for future reference.  The email request for your MNL # is also a great way to track when your file is forwarded to USEM as NVC will not reply to the email until that time. ;)

If your relative is either a K-1 fiancé(e), a K-3 spouse, or a K-2 or K-4 child of fiancé(e) or spouse, you do not need to submit an affidavit of support at the time you file your Form I-129F petition. Instead, you should submit an affidavit of support at the time that your fiancé(e), spouse, or child adjusts status to permanent resident after coming to the United States.

from https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/affidavit-support

.. is this accurate or should we fill it out and bring it to the interview? :o

Go to: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/signup/iv

you have to create an account and input you LND # (nvc case #) and the DS-160 number.

It should bring you to the page where you can pay the visa fee and schedule the interview :)
