One step at a time. The last thing on my mind is my fiancé coming here and finding work.

Get through this process first and when he gets there, take a deep breath and enjoy your wedding.

There was just an article put out today saying the AOS process has gone from 3-5 months to 7-10 months. 😑

The statement about the AOS is so true. Let me share our experience with the ROC (removal of conditions which is next after the AOS). When we filed it was taking about 6-8 months for ROC applications to get adjudicated, some less some a little more. ROC's get adjudicated at two locations depending on where you live in the US. California for those west and Vermont for those East. We were Vermont. At about the 6 months mark California ppl were beginning to get their permanent GC while Vermont was waiting and not one of us saw ours at 6 months, and not 7, not 8.... and not till 14 months out did Vermont start to release approved GC for ROC applicants.

So buckle in as there is nothing different about AOS and ROC that you experienced in the I-129f. :D

Usually how long does it take for the NVC to send the case to embassy after assigning the case number?

My case number was assigned on 5/4/2018 and it still shows that the case is at the NVC:wacko:

Mine sat at nvc for 14 torturous days!! I called several times but they couldn’t give me any info but they did say up to 8 weeks is normal processing 😱fingers crossed you don’t have to wait too much longer.

I was told it can take weeks for the Casablanca consulate to e-mail us back with an interview date. I woke up this morning, 6 AM sharp, saw that we were "READY" and immediately sent an e-mail to the Consulate requesting an interview. It's not even 7 AM here and I get an e-mail back stating he has been scheduled for an interview May 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this real life? How do we go from waiting for monthsssssssssssssssss, just to have the entire rest of the way done in less than one month? Baffled.

To those of you still waiting, please I don't say stop complaining to be mean but I converted to muslim almost a year ago now and a big part of the religion is patience. Complaining gets you no where. I'm not saying convert but I'm saying, everything happens when you aren't paying attention. I personally made it a mission to call NVC to find out more information and after 25 or so calls, I was told something interesting which I mentioned last night. That all cases come in, get a case number and those who are in transit right away don't need anything double checked for accuracy. All others get sent to AP and that's not always a bad thing. They're just confirming they have everything to send over to the embassy. When I was told that my case just "left AP and was in the scanning area", all that I could picture was yellow minions to make myself laugh. That there's some sort of conveyor belt with stacks of applications on it awaiting to be scanned. next thing you know, I'm scanned, in transit and ready. Don't lose hope. and Don't always follow what others are saying on here, some are real downers but you're doing this process for a reason right? that reason is your fiance so hang in there and whoever makes it to the north east region, preferably New York where I am, I'll treat to my favorite place Mamoun's :jest::D Good luck everyone! my nerves will rest for now and pick back up when he goes for his medical/interview :jest:

Helllloooo! Me too! I am so nervous and I am so glad I got all of my I-134 papers organized. I just have to Fedex them over there. Congrats!

Does your fiance have to travel far? :)

Luckily no, he just has to take a 30 minute train ride. Does your fiancé? Have you scheduled your interview yet?

Where are you guys seeing "in transit" etc? The NVC people keep telling me that our case number won't work because it only works once the Embassy has it?

We just called today and found out that ours was sent out on the 9th even though they told us it hasn't been... updating delay? Keep up hope!

omg I checked mine too, because you two said yours got changed to in transit.. and so did mine!! :jest: I can't believe how blessed we are. 1 call of 5 minutes to NVC to get our case number and 1 day of waiting for it to go from at nvc to in transit.. lets hope this stays such an incredibly smooth sail.

Lol... So, Michelle just called NVC for the first time. was on hold for 1 minute. talked to a guy that told her to click 5, because we're one of their "special electronic system".. so she did. and we immediately got our case number. I am SO confused. people here are calling every day and asking to talk to supervisors and stuff.. and we just get it within 5 minutes? We must be well lucky

When was your NOA2? Ive been calling NVC for 2 weeks now but they just keep saying they havent received our case yet and it takes 6-8 weeks for it to arrive from USCIS. Its frustrating knowing most people who got approved last March got their case number already. :(

Hey, I received my NOA2 on the 24th of march! I really don't know why we were so lucky. The first person we talked to immediately gave us our case number within 5 minutes of being on the phone. The one thing he said is that our case is one of those new electronical applications. Maybe that's why it's going so fast?

I called the NVC last night, and it still hasn't been received there yet, but the person I talked to actually told me the approval date for my case, instead of them asking me when I was approved.

Does that mean there has been at least some kind of movement between USCIS and the NVC, or did he just look up the approval date instead of asking me like the others have?
