may i quickly ask - at what stage at NVC does the petitioner or beneficiary receive the NVC email?

( or is it regular mail? ) when in Transit?

I just received our email today which is when the case changed over to “In Transit”

only took 4 days from the date I received the case number :)

I got mine like 2 weeks after case was already at the embassy. It was an e-mail
Not sure what the standard is here but I have heard of people saying they never got anything so...

Are you sure the picture meets the requirements?
An issue with the DS-160 is that it is very sensitive. Make sure the picture has the proper background (basically has to be the equivalent of something USCIS will accept as passport photos)

Thank you after fighting with it I finally got it. Thank you!

Hi guys,  I'm totally freaking out right now. My US Embassy Manila interview will be in 8 hours. I just checked the fedex package that my Fiance sent to me, but i realized he forgot to send me the original form I-134 with his wet signature :/ I heard and read that the US Embassy Manila consuls usually don't ask for it. Could anyone help me? I mean who among you guys were already done with the interview (at US Embassy Manila) and weren't asked about the form I-134 or Affidavit of Support?

I can't verify if the Manilla embassy will ask for it, but I I thought the standard is that all embassies need an Affidavit of support- whether the signature is wet or scanned depends on embassy. It is always better to be safe than sorry. So I'll probably see if he can send it to you via e-mail and you print it. It will be a scanned signature but that's probably better than not going with an affidavit at all in case they do ask for it.

Hi guys! We just called NVC and got the case number (NOA March 27)! The website states that our case is in transit to the Consular and my interview date was provided to me by NVC. Any idea what this means? Will the consular assign the interview date instead of me picking one myself? Many thanks!

Hello, thank you for your response. I already printed out the scan copy of the form I-134 with his signature. I hope I'll do well later.

It is hit or miss if they ask for it.  Worse case scenario will be a 221 where they ask for the file.  Not a deal breaker at all.  Try to get a scanned copy and make sure a wet signature copy is on its way (if they ask).

Good luck with the interview.  Let us know how it goes.  Ours is next Tuesday.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

My case finally changed from AT NVC to IN TRANSIT after 4 weeks. YAY! Should I be expecting an email for next steps soon?

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center. (Does this mean they've scheduled this interview already?)

No. That is common verbiage.
Check with the forum from your country and know what to expect once your case is "ready." For some countries you do everything from here on out. Others, they do it for you.

I called this morning at around 630am so 1130 in the UK because my fiancé was in work. The woman I spoke to said there was an appt for 04/25 at 1:30 but that was too soon for us so we scheduled for 04/30.

I’m surprised that the earliest date they had 😱 could they possibly change it to sooner if someone cancels?

So I did my daily call to see what's up. Here's the newest answer: "we are just waiting for the system to send it out to the embassy." Now I'm thinking a human provides the case number when uploading our info and then their system scans for errors and availability to the embassy ? Possibly who knows lol

I’m surprised yours hasn’t gone out yet since you got your case number a day or so before me.

This entire process baffles me.

Yeah I know. I've just been calling to see if someone could actually go outside the standard answer box and provide some insight. But no. Same thing.

One guy said that K1 Visas are scrutinized because it's the easiest way to get into the US. I was like well, that's englightening !

That’s interesting to know lol

I’m assuming it was another “it takes 8 weeks blah blah”
