Hey Guys,

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx doesn't work for me.

Would this be because my case number was just assigned yesterday?

Also, just to double check. The invoice number is only so you can reference your case before you get assigned a case number. After that it is unneeded, correct?

My fiancee is in Algeria, the ALG2018...... number that I received is my case number, correct?

Yes interview stage, not always on the interview day though.

Some embassies asks for it with the packet 3 to be sent to them beforehand.

They should see it is a k1 visa. There are people with no return tickets it is normal as long as the airline can understand this. Which they should. (I’ll be using one way ticket)

And what about the round trip? I saw so much better deals in round trips for way less money and directs flights. Do you think it could be a problem?

Nope you can get round and cancel one later. I think lots of people are doing that also.

I had called Delta a short while back asking about if we book a flight and change it and the associated costs.  We then talked about the final flight being one way, and the ticketing agent said to book round trip and just don't use the second part of the ticket because one way tickets are way more expensive.

Yes for some destinations that is correct and people do that. It is common I think. In my case one way is cheaper so I’ll book one way. With k1 I believe either way is ok, as you don’t specifically need a return ticket
