My wife and I filed her I-751 the end of March 2017.  I noticed other filers from around that time were receiving their approvals for removal of conditions, so I checked online at the USCIS portal.  I got the following response:  " On February 27, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number EAC17XXXXXXXX, at your local office."  That's all it said.  What does it mean received "at your local office"?  The NOA-1 was dated the beginning of April 2017.  Is the final approval granted at the "local office"?

Thanks!

Check out the other threads for this... short answer is we don't know, but it's probably a database glitch. Long answer is... maybe something is happening with your case, but no one really knows for sure. (Check other threads for more theories, hah!)

We are January 2017 filers and got the same message. My husband and I spoke to a USCIS officer today at an InfoPass appointment, and they said they don't have our case in their office like the message says. My personal guess is it's an error to be ignored.

So we found out that the "case received" update has little to no meaning... your case is still at CSC or VSC and being processed as scheduled. They are working on late 2016 filers at CSC and early 2017 at VSC.

Me too! I did receive the status like this! I filed my case back in Dec 2017, and the status says they received my case at local office in Feb 22nd 2018! Till now i have not received any biometric appointment letter yet! What should i do?

They stopped sending biometrics appointments at the end of 2017 because of the backlog, but they may be able to use old records. They will send you a letter if they schedule biometrics for you... all you need to do is wait.
