None of mine is updating! I did the bimetrics on Monday and still no updates. Does yours show the biometrics?

I received a job offer and I will start on July 16. Do you think I need to expedite my EAD?

I've no idea, sorry. You can try expediting based on financial hardship or something like, but it's not something I am in the know about. I'm okay for now as I'm still a student etc.

Mine updated 3 days after biometrics. Not sure why yours hasn't!

Did an early walk-in biometrics. They did not even ask for a reason. Glad it is over.

hi - can you explain to me how you do it? My letter is coming in the mail today and I was thinking of going on Monday. Should I go early before they open? Do you stand in line? You just say I'm here to do biometrics?

I live 2 hours away from the office so I couldn't go when they open at 7:30 in the morning. I reached around noon. The security guard looked at my ID and the biometrics appointment letter. He said walk through the scanner - just like the airport. No cell phones were allowed so I left it in the car.

There were 10 of us. The lady doing the biometrics asked us to form a line. She said if you do not have an appointment stand in the back of the line. So I did. My turn came, I did the biometrics and I was done. No one asked why I was there early. I dressed business casual - a tad better than the rest of the folks who were in jeans and t-shirt. The lady was very professional and courteous with all of us.

It all depends on your local office. Some are busy, some are not. Be nice to all people you interact,  if they say no to something, don't push it. You can always go back when it is your actual appointment.

All the best with your turn.

thanks - I went right after I got the letter and was done in half and hour!

There were two bar codes on the notice - one for the I-485 and one for the I-765. Does anyone know if the I-131 also has biometrics? i.e. will I be getting a separate letter for that? I applied concurrently for the employment authorization/ advance parole/ adjustment of status.
